Okay, the topic name's a bit silly; it's a reference to an extremely common mis-interpretation of a lyric.

One disadvantadge to any anime over a corresponding manga is the difficulty of going back to refer to a missed name, or incorrectly parsed line of dialogue. As a result, you may end up with incorrect details.

What's the funniest misinterpretation of the anime dialogue you've seen, heard, or had?

For me, I thought Sanji was hoping to find the "Great bloom", not the great blue, so I pictured it as like a giant bloom of algae with every life form in the sea snacking upon it.

I always believed that it was meant to sound ambigous in the anime.

I watch OP with the crappy subs from China and what not. So, there's a lot of mistakes in those subs.

But one of the best ones is (and I can't remember the episode) but Zoro says "I'm a scared little girl."

I figured that was worth sharing.

once they get to the eneru saga, they get gender mixed up all the time. people keep saying "he" and "she" inappropriately, etc.
