There is only one fruit of it's kind at any given time. So once a person has the DF power, they have it for life. Once they die, then the fruit will evenually surface again due to it's supernatural nature. However, I really don't think it can be passed down due to genetics. You've just got to be lucky enough to find one to eat.

Well what do you think if maybe the powers were compatable? For example I know this will never happen but if say Luffy fell in love and had a kid with one of the amazons who has a snake Zoan ability.

But what about Zoans? This is what I cant understand. Lets say that we use RoCho as an example. Both are DF users yet Chopper's DNA has been affected by his DF thus making him human. Robin is Human completely yet simply has a DF. Thusly would this create a Human/Human/Reindeer Hybrid? Or rather just a Human/Reindeer hybrid like Chopper? Who knows. Its enough to boggle the mind.

Well, first of all, there's the question of whether or not you would get any power as a result of having two devil fruit users for parents. Does the Devil Fruit only affect cell mitosis, or does it also affect meiosis, as your question seems to imply? Let us assume, for the sake of argument, that DF's affect both cell mitosis and meiosis. Both parents have a DF, which we will give two seperate prefixes Df1 and Df2. One has brown eyes, and the other Blue.

Assuming that neither Devil Fruit trait is dominant, and that both are phenotypical, it looks like about a fifty percent chance of having both powers expresssed- but you'd still have brown eyes either way. Hope that's not a problem for you.

Na it's not a problem. Course there is also the possibility of spontaneous combustion as soon as you'd be born since two devil fruit abilities would blow you to smithereens. Or maybe a new fruit called scuicide scuicide fruit. It's a one shot deal but the explosion could take anyone your'e facing with you.

No I meant it would be a once use devil fruit. It would have to be activated by you it wouldn't just automatically happen. Then again since this is sounding like a stupid idea of mine I'll end it and start a new. Has anyone here ever created their own made up devil fruit? I thought up one called sight sight fruit Paramecia type it enhances your sight to super human levels gives you telescopic infrared and see through sight. If your'e fighting a logia user you can see his power clear as day as an energy aura around him or her.

I even made up a character if that's ok that is Im into fanfiction. His pirate name is clear eye since he can see anything with his eyes so to speak anyway. He also was an ex member of CP9 and posessed psychic powers from his strong Douriki if that's what it's called I can't really remember.

Even more confusingly, would it be considered bestiality in any of his forms (since, you know, he was born a reindeer) or could it be considered regular sex if Chopper was in his acquired human form?
This also makes me think: What would happen if Pierre (a bird who ate a Horse fruit) had sexual intercourse with a bird of his same species? Or with a horse?
