So, stupid. The streams worked during the freaking-long-ass Oz fight, yet when I actually want to watch it, it doesn't work.
Screw Keyhole.

O_O @ rob lucci lookalike viola player
Looks like some people got it working. Oh well, I had missed most of TB. No big deal that I missed this one. (is too lazy to download)
Great episode period. When Brook said Solo, I shead an tear. From the next episode preview, its looks like next episode is finishing up Thriller Bark.
wow. that was much more emotional than I remember it being in the manga. The scene where they started dropping one by one was pretty powerful…
On a grimmer note, will we know whether or not there's a filler arc coming by the preview at the end of next week's ep?
Was Bink's Sake good?
Unfortunately I couldn't see the episode
The next episode preview shown the Ace's paper is burning, Zoro and Brook at the tombstone for the Rumble Pirates, and the Brook joining the crew part of the episode.
After next week's episode we have a Foxy filler episode and then another episode. Probably looks like they'll do some year end specials like they usually do. So I'd wait until after the break on Jan 4th to find out if there's gonna be a filler arc.
Well, in the next preview we'll see if the Foxy thing is just a special or really the beginning of a filler arc.

Or it could be just a 1 episode of Foxy and then an arc after that.
man, now I desperately want a Bink's Sake song for my iPod. I'll try to rip the song off the episode if I can.
I don't think the foxy one is the special but the one after it.
It seems to be that Foxy is the One Piece Team Rocket.
I don't mind if the Foxy filler end up being an filler arc. But like everyone else, we should just wait and see.
Can't wait to be able to watch this episode.
I'm a little disgruntled over the upcoming Foxy episode (or arc). Why the hell would they give us Foxy when they could give people what they really want? By which I mean Animated Cover Stories.

Yeah. I don't know why they won't do cover stories. They help fill in the gaps.

How do you know this? They have already greatly extended the Foxy arc with tons of filler and then added him again in a later filler. Enough is enough. Animate the cover stories Toei or at least come up with something decent (like Sogeking Sniper Island adventures filler, similar to Chopper Man). Nobody wants to see Foxys same old stale ass routine for the billionth time.
Meh, I'd be bored to tears if they did every single cover arc. Would be nice to see one or two though. I don't mind Foxy that much, but I do agree with you guys. They should come up with something more original…
Anyhow, either way, this episode was a very good one, much better than last week. I actually shed a few tears, which is very hard to make me do since I'm usually pretty serious. I haven't done this since the death of Merry over a year ago... So that means this episode has my vote. And next episode ends TB, which I'm happy about since I feel like we've been in there for some time now.
Onto the fillers! Tbh I'm hoping this Foxy stuff is one or two episodes. I was looking forward to see what story Toei would make for us. I mean, ofc I want to see the latest manga stuff, but any intelligent person knew that fillers were inevitable, so may as well make the best of it, right?
It's up on youtube, just go through the users account, and its in 3 parts!
Nice. I think they did a good job. I really like it in the manga, and they handled it very well here. Poor Brook. He played as the people he called his friends and essentially his family all died one by one…until he did himself.
I'm sorry for being a heartless bastard, but I couldn't help but laugh when everyone started keeling over. It felt like I was watching a Python sketch or something.
Anyway, looks like next week will wrap up Thriller Bark, while the week after will cover then leaving and then maybe stuff like the scene with Sengoku, Kuma, and Garp meeting, Luffy's lies decision in regard to Ace's situation, and then eases into the filler.

Bink's Sake ripped from the episode.

Lies? What in the world are you talking about? If it is about not helping Ace earlier when they learned about his Vivrecard burning up, he was justified.
There was no way he knew Ace was in THAT much trouble and only assumed he will get out of it his own.
Oh, come on, I was messing around there, and I don't think anyone needs or wants to go through argument again. I know I don't. Yeesh.
Great episode…I was expecting bad animation but wow...was I wrong.
Man, the animation of Takagi feels dynamic somehow, or with higher frame rate, although his art is almost near great. Next week looks meh. But at least it looks much better than 379. Let's see how well the meeting is gonna be...XD
So they went with the rhyme that I thought of. A FILLER ARC after THRILLER BARK.
Also, I absolutly loved the full version of Binks no Sake.
Beautiful rendition of the song. EXACTLY hat I was hoping they'd do. Superb.
Some Foxy fillers should be fine, but I totally agree with everyone that the cover stories SHOULD be made! I don't get why they don't use them. Lets be thankful at least that we got the one where Garp first appeared, would have been a shame if that hadn't happened in the anime when he later returned. Too bad there are other similair situations that won't make it to the screen.
Like I whished that they would have done an episode of Ace cover story filler before he found Blackbeard…
Is it wrong I loved the acapella version better?
Strange, funny, and heartrending. Mother 3's slogan matched Brook's episode perfectly. D'x
Bink's Sake was just great. That's all I have to say. I'll definitely download at least one version of the song.
The song was incredible but it's so sad to see Brook, trying to hold back his tears as his friends/nakama drop dead onto the floor with smile on their faces, one by one and finally, he himself. He lost his Captain whom he idolised, to an unknown disease and his entire crewmembers to a mysterious unknown group/entities that they cannot win against. T_T
It's great to see the transition of the flashback switches back and forth to the current time where both the Straw Hat Pirates & the Thriller Bark Victim's Association dance and sing along to the song. It's kinda funny to see both Chopper & Franky, can still sing while dancing that Yosaku's basket & chopstick dance.
btw, I forget, where did that basket and chopstick dance originate from?
btw, I forget, where did that basket and chopstick dance originate from?
It was originated in One Piece Episode 44 and in the manga chapter 95 of One Piece Vol. 12. A group of Kokoyashi villagers witness both Johnny and Yosaku dancing, while Usopp is praising how great he is by singing songs about himself, in a night party after Arlong defeat.
Johnny is seen dancing with a girl, doing a ballroom dance style while Yosaku, apparently dancing with the basket and chopstick dance, as the onlookers was amazed at how that they can dance very well. It seems that this dance has attracted both Luffy, Usopp and later, Chopper, in doing it for fun in the parties, Franky then later got himself involve and thus became a running gag, when it comes to partying.
Not exactly what I was hoping for in my own mind, ( i imagined there being more instruments mostly) but they NAILED it. They did it perfectly. And especially interesting touch was they got around playing the variety of other songs in the episode, by just playing a sad instrumental over the whole thing, which just really helped with the mood.
Brook's fling with madness and the sad moments and just… everything. Superbly done all around. The full Bink's Sake is very well done. I was NOT expecting sing along lyrics, but considering in the OP world its supposed to be a well known song that eveybody knows, I guess that helps the audience join in. And they got in Laboon singing along, which I'd bee expecting last episode, which was really horrendously cute. Great episode. good job toei.
So HDtv raw is still not out? .-.

thx man. posted the link over at KF Forums, gave credit to you.
Fantastic episode. Totally made up for last week's extremely boring episode.
The animation, music, pacing, voice-acting, it all fit perfectly. It's episodes like this one that makes this series so unbelievably awesome.
Is it wrong I loved the acapella version better?
Nah, I liked that version the best as well.
Cried like a little bitch as expected. Funny, I usually really don't like this particular key animator but the animation and overall effect was great for this episode. The Rumbar pirates death scene was handled a lot better than I would have thought. Oda wrote some darn beautiful lyrics for that song.
