This is quite a turnaround. Now, instead of one group who wasn't active for months, we have two groups trying to get releases out as quickly as possible. Good news for Gintama fans!

Hmmm…. Who does this better? Bakaneko or Shinsen-Subs?
Their scripts are kinda different, and although I don't really like the way BakaNeko uses the word "F***", their translations are very funny.

From what I can tell, one translation isn't really better than the other. The only advantage I see is that Shinsen has the potential to catch up to the TV airings.

I agree a 110% with you. I think Hijikata was made for Nakai… or was it the character that was made for the voice actor? :wassat:

Hate to double post, buuuut for those who are interested Bakaneko put out ep7.
I can't really say I see a huge different between BN and SS, even tho SS hasn't put out an episode in like 3 weeks now, chances are they'll be ahead of BN for the rest of the game.

Episode 11 had me in stiches the whole time! I especially loved Gintoki's speech about drinking too much strawberry milk and having to piss in the middle of the cold night! I am so grateful a group like shinsen picked this up.

Noticed the manga to this just started premering in ASJ, I got the second issue since it started running so its not the beginning so I didn't read it.
Now that theres a anime I may watch it instead now that I've found I can kill off most of my video lagging problem with shutting everything down and running the video in VLC on Above Normal priority.

This episode was good, guess I was kinda disappointed at the lack of Gintama or the other male lead's presence but the cooking segment… hahahaha oh the cooking segment.

Seeing as how Excel Saga was my first real anime, I have loved WEird al all my life, it's safe to say I love parody. Well, Gintama is like a less extreme Bobobo in terms of shonen parody, and I love it!

Buuhan1, you won't regret it. It's whacky and in the vein of Excel Saga or Bobobo in terms of parody, except parody is not as freakin abstract and extreme. The fact that the main character is lazy and reads SJ all the time is what sold me.

After the finishing blow to the panty-thief, was that little part where he raised a fist to the heavens spoofing Fist of the North Star? His face was even drawn like it.

I thought the same thing. It has to be though, since it shows the Big Dipper, and he posed the same way Raoh does.
