I tried a lot of webs, and each and every link on mcanime.net (which is the main place for manganime in spanish >.< )

Hey guys, do you know if the VIZ translation of Gintama is accurate?
I bought the first 6 a year ago but then stuck to the anime, is it worth buying the volumes or just saving my moneys?
This is an awesome and very hilarious anime that's right behind the three anime tied for number one (D. Gray-man, One Piece, and Hetalia) in my top five anime. My favorite episodes are the one where Saachan gets introduced, the Gokon/Kyuubei's Tower of Babel episode, and the Kabukichou snow sculpture contest. Who could forget the Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon? With all the unintentional innuendo Gintoki made in that episode, I was laughing so hard, I was worried I'd break a rib or two. I also used the idea of a gokon from hell in a fanfic i'm working on, and it's thanks to the gokon episode (But, there's no rumors of a Tower of Babel in my fanfic. Saachan just decided to invite some people to a gokon).
Just watched Episodes 89 - 94 tonight. God, I keep loving this show more and more. Kyubei is becoming one of favorite characters in the series besides Kondo.
Another character that I'm beginning to like more is Hasegawa. From his last few appearnce that I have seen so far, he makes me laugh a lot.
Sorry about double posting, but I just finisheed watching The Shinsengumi Crisis arc (Episodes 101 - 105). I have to say its was pretty damn great story arc and also great character delvopment on Hijikata and Kondo.
I really enjoyed Gin Vs. Bansei's fight in episode 104. This arc is another reason why I really like Gintama.

if they start off with the time skip arc, I will be highly amused and then doubly amused if they decide to use it to make fun of the anime ending. Then even more amused if they finally get bumped up from the 4:3 res that they mock every time they needed to kill a few minutes.
Ohhhh yesss I cannot wait for april. Time to watch the last two episodes for a christmassy feel, I think. They HAVE to start with the timeskip. There will be so much hilarity. Soon, soon the absolutely perfect, wise, and mocking tones of Gintoki will re enter my life.
Which side characters do people particularly like? I love katsura+Elizabeth, Hijikata/Toshi, and of course I love Gintoki.
I hope Bansai and Tsukuyo get a lot more screen time… I would like to see them more.
I'm only up to Episode 110 right now (Yeah, I still on my first run of the series, which I started on last year), but I love the show to death.
Anyways, my personal favorite side character are Kondo and Katsura. I might one of the few people that likes Kyubei. I also like Hasegawa and Hijikata.
I like kyubei a lot. Except I KNEW she was a womaN the moment I saw her, so I was confused as to why Otae was going to marry her, and why they kept calling her a boy. Just when I accepted Kyubei was a boy, they revealed she was a girl. But I think she is funny. Gintama has an excellent female cast.
Madao has inspired me, and also means I cannot take Akainu at all seriously in the anime. I only just finished, and the shinsengumi crisis was my favourite arc. And not just because Ito looks creepily like me. Even more than Shinpachi… I was like whoah when I saw him. If his hair was brown, and he wasn't so serious, he would be just like me.... But yes, Toshi provided cringe worthy humour. Gintama isn't afraid to insult it's audience 
I agree the Shinsengumi Crisis arc was a awesome arc and its one of my favorite storylines that I have watched so far. My other favorite storyline so far is Kyubei's introduction arc.

Also, in the scene depicted in my avatar, I laughed a lot. One thing I don't like about the series is how little Sakamoto appears! I like him! And he is in every opening!
Do you think there will ever be a dub? Some episodes are completely based on Japanese culture… A dub would be bear impossible. And nobody can top Tomokazu Sugita for Gintoki.
Its probably never get dub, Sentai 23 in the U.S is releasing a subtitled dvd release of Gintama. The first two dvd sets are out now. Dvd set 1 have Episodes 1 - 13, and Dvd set 2 have 14 - 26.
Set 3 is coming out on December 28th, which will inculde Episodes 27 - 39.

So i brought the german volume 2 to reread this awesome manga and there was an really funny note from Sorachi regarding the low number of copies when the first volume was published and the complaints of the fans. I know its 6 years ago, but has anyone more infos about this incident. Does this comment exsist in the english version of Gintama?

Sorry for double posting. Just finished the Tama Quest arc (167 - 170). It was a okay story arc. I did enjoy Otsuu Fan club arc was just awesome in my opinion. It was nice to see Shinpachi get the spotlight for once

I knew it. Against all the odds, anime did re-start with the hilarious time-skip arc. And how, almost every panel of one and a half chapters was were animated to the tiniest detail. And some jewels are left for the second episode.
The opening is fun and fitting, as usual,probably no Donten, but good nonetheless. And the ending is surprisngly plot oriented and quite lyrical.
And on the plot, its is good to know that the Kabuki-chou arc will be in the focus of this season. Can't wait for Jirochou to appear.

No second movie announcement as far as I know. Bakuchi Dancer was used as the first OP for the reruns last year, but that's about it.
