As much as i respect the Man From Sniper Island, I have to give my vote to Chopperman.
1.) It sounds like the nickname of some badass helicopter pilot.
2.) The Dub Piece episode was the deciding factor.
3.) Being Sogeking gives Usopp confidence. Being Usodabada gives Usopp facial hair. Evil makes you manly!

I thought the omakes were a result of the editor running in and telling him "fill three blank pages with something." So his editor should share a little of the blame here. Besides, didn't the omake 'Descendant of Demons, Robin' introduce Satan to the audience long before Brook's ill-fated landing?

Sanji never begged Mr. Prince for help. Usopp had to submerge his own personality under Sogeking's during his fight with Perona and her Wild Zombies. Thankfully, he doesn't refer to the mask as his "face" and speak in a monotone.
