Hey since I was to lazy to dig out my old thread here's a new one.
It's been decades since I sriously tried to draw something. But I finaly got myself to do it. I hope I made some progress in my "out time".
It's akito from Air Gear. Tried to make the sweater look like wool…well

this is really nice, but one thing- you might want to practice inking.
inking confidently is a big deal. some of the strands/groups of hair in that picture have lines that are kind of sketchy or wobbly, so it's a little inconsistent. you might want to practice some harder, quicker, more direct strokes.
another random art tip- practice line width variation. if the outer outline of a drawing is a little thicker than the rest of the picture, it draws things together, and if you work at it enough, you can make parts of a drawing look nearer or further away just by how thick their outline is.

Drew something new and tried to color it but I ain't satisfied in any way. I guess I have overestimated my abilities with such a pic and coloring it. I was so bummed I didn't even bother with background. Well overstated self confidence is one of mans greatest enemies
Happy 2009 Everybody. wow it's been a while. But after i saw e1ns new christmas cards I just had to draw something again. I tried something new and before I shade or ink it, I'd like your opinion on the sketches. So PLEASE be harsh and tell me what youthink. Be it good or bador justmeaningless. SAY IT :happy:

lol , those two piece look like shoujo manga style, looking good. By the way dont bother color using color pencil, if u want it to look really good, use those computer coloring program…..., or! buy a painting kit. "not that i ever did any of those......."
Actually, if you are motivated, anyone could make a pretty fantastic style using only color pencils. Of course, it all comes down to brand and experimenting.
I don't know. The colors arenot really strong. I don't know if it has enough expression if you know what I mean
Omighosh, when I say you got better, I really freakin mean it, those last two are REALLY excellent. Although the placement on the first one kinda baffles me.The second one blew my mind though, youre better at poses than I am.

Anyway I finaly drew something again. I totaly was out of shap and for a sketch it took quite long so I kind of lost my motivation to ink it and started something new already. My great resolution is to draw more from now on again. I still suck but you can't improve without practicing (whoever invented this rule? Bastard! ^.^)
So here it is. First timeI ever drew enviroment. Didn't think it would be THIS hard.
I made it negative to sharpen the pencil lines. My scanner kind of blured them.
Well please comment as harsh and as honest as you can. I'm happy about any comment no matter what kind. :happy:
