Meh, t'was inevitable~

Resident (lurking) Yugifag here posting his arts. (Now that I think of it, I should really start updating that old and moldy Deviantart I have.) I mostly do a lot of pen/pencil sketches and whatnot inbetween working and tend not to finish any of them, but, hey, beggars can't be choosers–or something like that.

Syxx Loader was actually supposed to be a submission to that Monster Madness (game) "Design a Creature" contest, but I missed the deadline by like…a week (WAY 2 GO ME.) So, yeah, there's some history for you.

No history behind the other ones, though. I'm just messed up in the head

This was a piece I inked and my good friend from Germany (who is on my scanlation team) colored for me because I was incapable of doing so. Admittedly, it wasn't the best lineart in the world since I hadn't gotten completely accustomed to my tablet as of then, but he did a damn fine job nonetheless.

Anyway, here's two of the OCs from my yet-to-get-started-you-lazy-fucking-cunt-get-on-that comic, Jiryo Doyu (道遊実良) & Xing Xue Chen (シン・シュエ・チェン):

@Hiroy:

I take influences from a bunch of different manga and anime.

My biggest influence comes from Kazuki Takahashi (hence the angular style on some of the human characters and the muscle girth on some of the creatures.) My second biggest influence comes from Hirohiko Araki (dynamic poses, general flamboyance, etc.)

Anything else I get from just other manga-ka in general, and when I see something new, I try to incorporate it into my own style.

But, mostly, I'm a fan of the 80's/90's ruff and tumble, manly man of manly men Shonen anime/manga. So, Hokuto no Ken, Bastard!, Sakikage!! Otokojuku, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, some Seinen stuff, etc, etc.

Yup, I enjoy drawing them. They're a fun distraction when I let my mind wander. (Plus, who doesn't like something with a head where, clearly, it's ass should be? No one, that's who.)

Here's something I did in Paint in, like, 10 minutes. Haven't had a chance to color it, though…well, aside from the bright red blood, of course. (OC - Lisa Morganblack):

Well, I have my own style. Although, just because it's principally based off of a certain manga-ka's techniques and derivatively based off several others' doesn't make it any more or less unique. But, I appreciate your critique, nonetheless!
