IMHO, the action scene in this Episode wasn't moving as much as the others
(except Zoro's badass Karasuma-giri scene) ,
but the acting (especially Luffy, AND USOPP, I nearly cried) and directing were
both incredibly superb.

"GOMU GOMU NOOOOO!!! CANNON!!!!"

"GYAHHHHH!!! HE BROKE THROUGH THE GIANT ARMOR!!!
Hey you guys!! Just listen to us!! Lis… l...l...

LET 'ER RIP!!!

That was sooo damn cool :blink:

BTW, as some of you guys are anticipating,
there'll be Luffy VS Usopp fight coming.
And recently I heard that Luffy's VA Mayumi Tanaka declared about the recording,
"I shouted out so much that my throat gone hoarse.
Sorry if the voice sounds terrible in the show."
At first, I didn't take it too seriously because it was just a message someoneelse
posted on the board and I couldn't find any source of it.
But last Sunday, when Episode's A-Part is over and entered a commercial time,
I saw a Skypiea Arc's DVD advertisement, which shows lotza flashbacks
and Luffy's voice-over goes
"THAT'S WHY I'LL RING THE GOLDEN BEEEELL"and so on.
And I can swear, in a single word,
his shouting voice was FRIGHTENING.
Maybe it was made after they did Luffy VS Usopp recording…

So Folks, we'd better get ready to crap our pants with fear
in the Episode after the next.

This "Arlong Park" scene should be prove enough that Toei does understand One Piece when it gets to the important parts. All those little Usopp impressions on the Strawhats march towards Franky House are just the proof that they know how they could adecuately transfer a good manga scene into a good anime scene.

However I have to say that this particular scene was maybe even too good. I mean if I wouldnÂ´t have read those chapters before I could get the impression that Usopp was dead. All those Usopp impressions actually fit in when people remember the happy moments with a gone person.

That Tanaka thing…..though I like her Luffy, I'm not all that fond of her voice. And I hate loud voices anyway, so I'm kinda mixed about that.

Without even seeing it and just seeing people say that, I got that same impression. But I was thinking more in terms of that it might be a bit redundant since there's supposed to be some flashbacks towards the end of Usopp and Luffy's fight.

That's what I was thinking. I was actually a bit creeped out, even though I'm fully aware of what happens in the later chapters. I mean, it was really a nice touch, but honestly, shudders.

Two words about this episode: Absolutely Awesome.
The Gomu gomu no cannon…i imagined it like a stronger version of the bazooka( i even read it as bazooka in a manga scanlation), but it was even better..

That has to be one of the most awesome moves Luffy has. IÂ´m sorry to say this but this move is definitely better in the anime then in the manga. The visual posibilities of the anime just help better explaining what this move is actually all about. It was so awesome.

BTW, Battle Franky. Like your new avatar. I was wondering when you will finally get a Franky related anime avatar. Now am I guessing correctly that your next one will be the animated version of FrankyÂ´s introduction from chapter 335? It would just scream to be your avatar. ;)

I canÂ´t wait to hear FrankyÂ´s voice…some say itÂ´s good, others are not that sure...I wanna hear for myself...I donÂ´t know, I ever thought that Franky would have a voice like BleachÂ´s Ganjyuu, if you get what I mean… :huh:

Eh, if Takagi's Aoki is anything like his Ganjyuu, then yeah, I get what you mean.

I think a voice like that could work, but I think Yao has more potential.
