I have no issue with people repeating it(although if you'e going to repeat it, do it with a DON), I was just commenting it was unlikely that because it had already been said, people wouldn't know who said it. :P
Is Willy Karen actually real? Couldn't find anything on him, did find a physicist called Karen Avetikovich Ter-Martirosyan, but thats…quite a ways off, and I didn't see any quote like this attributed to him.

Well, Luffy said his purpose in utilizing Gears was so he could fight on the level of the strongest and protect his crew so he wouldn't have to lose anyone again. A hundred so chapters later, he fails to do so, Kuma knocks him out of Gear Second just by deflecting an attack, and he does end up losing everyone. Not permanently, but you get the idea.
And to add to the top, he's something from the end of Movie 5 (Paraphrased from memory).
Luffy: There's nothing in the world that you can't cut! Not even the moon!
Zoro: (To be the strongest, I will cut…even my friend...!) -
