      The story starts off with a bunch of high school students, taking the dare to go up to this abandoned building that has been half destroyed by a fire. It was rumoured to be haunted. Just a rumour, right? Not when real corpses start showing up, and they start feeling things grabbing them, and finally zombies going after them! Shikabane Hime is there to save the day. The immortal girl, “Shikabane Hime,” has the mission to “kill” 108 corpses. It’s a contract she has between herself and the Buddhist monk, Keisei. After 108 corpses, she will finally get her happiness and go to heaven.

        Eh looks kinda generic, but I MIGHT consider watching it eventually.

          Not watching Gainax anymore unless they do anime original or decided to go original on the ending, like with Mahoromatic.

          Show seems too shallow to be a very interesting watch…I mean if they do some kind of investigation like how the girl copes with being dead yet falling in love with the living that would be interesting, but it sounds like generic fanservice/butt kicking action and really Casshern is my fill of arse kickin's this quarter.

            I vaguely remember the 180 you pulled concerning Gurren Lagann, Terek; never say never.

            I'm like Hisotensoku: Not here to preserve peace, nor to destroy it. I certainly can't move mountains. Mostly, I'm just full of hot air.- Meh

              It helps that Gurren-Lagann was my first real sortie into the super robot style of show; since then I've seen a number of great shows I've liked almost as much.

              My impression of this show is it's fanservice action, like Ten Ten, Rosario or Negima!…not the kind of show I'm going to watch on a weekly.

              Though it's not like my slots have a lot of competition - such masterworks as Kannagi, To Aru Majutsu no Index and Tora Dora currently occupy my µqueue. If I hear rave reviews from AP I might give this a whirl.

                just watched the first ep of that…

                @Reizhan:

                Don't know exactly why but there's just something about all that "zooming" in on Cashern during combat that got a bit on my nerve. Not sure how to explain that, but I'm not that used to fights like this. Combats was good anyways even with that.

                I didn't like it that well, maybe it's just cause I don't have that kinda nostalgic factor that many other has, haven't watched the earlier Casshern. The whole mood and landscape just seems dark and gloomy, not a big fan of that either but it fits with the series.

                I'll give it a few more episodes, it's not bad by all means it just didn't grab my attention. But I like it's not your typical anime.

                thats pretty much how i felt…

                  Alright, I watched this.

                  I saw some Imaishi but otherwise the animation wasn't anything spectacular, honestly this show looks like a Madhouse production rather than a Gainax one. Story wise it was everything I expected, the dead girl fanservice made me sick at times since I was eating while watching.

                  I would drop it after this episode BUT there was redeeming thing…the main character, Oorii. He was just chill with everything and treated super natural stuff and dead bodies like it was no big deal. Very mature like. I found it amusing that after the girl fell from the sky, he imitated his guardian to bring her back to life and then proceeded to go home - not go after her like 90% of anime protagonists would do. As he was going home, with glass and building shards raining down on him, did he go up to investigate? NO! He just went around it like it was no big deal!

                  I'll watch maybe 2 more episodes just for this kid, I hope he doesn't get all that involved in the story...
