Does anybody know when color walk 3 is coming out? I'm highly anticipating it. ^__^

I edited the topic so it would be less of a letdown.

AH! I am your opposite ocean. I love artbooks cos I can make a lot of stuff from these images ^^ I'm saving for FMA Anime artbook two right now so I guess I won't be getting any colourwalks in a while.
It's a pity that OP doesn't get much coverage in anime magazines like NEwtype or else there would be an anime collection artbook which is 10 times (IMO) better than any manga art.
My guess would be that Colourwalk will include everything up till Water Seven, but then it be very thick and expensive XD
-
There already is an anime collection artbook. It's called the Animation log. :P
EGX owns a copy. -
Oh, I forgot ^^ But it's not really an artbook in a sense. What I meant was just pages and pages of art without any text ^^
-
artbook?i dont care for artbooks, but it would be the time for a successor of opred and blue.

Yeah, I second that. A lot has happened ever since so when can we expect a OP green or yellow? :D

Well, since this was kind of a gas, I thought I'd mention that the first artbook is coming to the States on October 11th, while GN#8 is coming out on the 4th.
source…..Don't get mad at me if this was all said already, the site's down.

**Ooh, that's interesting! I have both colour walks in my posession right now, but it would be nice to read the translated monochrome talk thingy at the back with Oda and Toriyama :) That is, if they include it at all…
-
hmmm a translated version of color walk is kinda pointless, you dont need to know japanese to enjoy color walk! Unless you'd want to read the stuff in the back..

You consider a translation of a Oda/Toriyama interview pointless??? I´m sure you´re in the minority here.
-
omae has a translation of the interview on his site.
-
That´s not the point. I was just stating that there is stuff that is worthy of a translation.
-
What I'd really like to see is a collection (or two or three) of images done for Newtype and other magazines. I keep finding studio art that I've never seen before but it's so tiny I can barely make it out. I'd really like to have a collection of that stuff since I don't have any of the Japanese magazines they're done for.
Plus I really want a Color Walk 3. Duh. ^^

I'd rather be able to walk down to a bookstore and grab it than to go through the hassle in int'l ordering.

Oda has written several comments between arts. 12 in total. Even though they're short, I don't think anybody ever translated them. And that's excluding manga pages, too o.o
-
I might be getting it,
after the FMA artbook,of course! But it's still kinda far away though.I don't think it's pointless to have a translated version. It beats having to switch between the script and the text.

I think Color Walk 2 is on the same bot.
I actually bought Color Walk 1 recently. If I buy Color Walk 2, I'll have all the Oda's stuff, finally ^^ And for me buying that is pretty amazing since I don't usually buy art books. *ocean is not a graphic person at all.
And yes, this topic was disappointing <_< Do any of you keep track of each CW contained which chapters? Maybe we could assume the approximate date from there.
CW1 is beginning to Arlong Park-ish, CW2 is AP to middle of Alabasta-ish. I don't know exact chapters, but I'm pretty sure we're overdue for a new Color Walk by now - with the rest of Alabasta, Jaya, Skypiea and maaaybe DBF in there too. I remember on the old boards I took all of the color shots I could find post-CW2 and there were maybe 20, 25 pictures or so in it… is that usually what's in the CWs ? I don't own one personally (they have supposedly been bought for me but my friends are notorious for not sending me overdue birthday presents  ) so I couldn't gauge it but it's a lot of manga that hasn't been covered. Alabasta ended in… 01-ish ? And it's halfway through 05 now, I'd say we're due for one pretty effin' soon O_o;_
-
how comes KF didn't release color walk 2?
-
Because it's ..uh, a book?
-
heh

Color Walk 2 is in KF's bot last time I checked ( which is a long time ago ^^; ).
Illustrations in CW2 spans from the ones made in 1999 to 2001, from volume 10(?) to 19. So CW 3 probably covers vol 20 to 29.
