Mine is rainbow misc cuz it was small lenght and unexpected plot!
Which is ur favourite filler arc?
-
-
The G8 arc was almost as entertaining as Odas own stuff, despite the fact that there were no super foes and no epic showdowns. Just plain silly fun with a little suspense.
Liked the Ice hunter arc too, if they keep it up the quality to the G8 and Ice hunter standard i wont mind filler after TB at all.
-
Ice Hunter and G8
-
Don't mean to play the same tune but Ice Hunter and G-8
G-8 was a throwback to stuff like Loguetown, which I felt was too short. Ice Hunter seemed a lot like Little Garden IMO, which is my favorite OP arc to date, so :p
-
G8 arc defiantly. It fits into the saga rounding it up with some funny stuff after all the serious fighting in Skypia. It has a good amount and kind of comedy and features an opponent that is intelligent, not strong. Something I'd like to see more often in the Marines Officer ranks. One might think that you have to stand out of the masses of recruits to become an officer but most of them are pretty dumb.
-
I loved G8. It was such a good one! Besides, it had the foreshadowing of Merry's horrible condition, gave the mugiwara a chance to show off their new weapons… I just liked the arc on the whole. That, and it wasn't crazy-long. It was a good filler.
-
Of course, G8. I found it very entertaining with all of the little gags they threw in like when we see several windows from the outside of a building, Sanji crawls under them (thus we don't see him), and then Luffy just strolls on by without bothering to conceal himself at all. Another one of my favorites was when Luffy is hiding behind the back of a Marine, and flashed the peace sign whenever he was facing the camera. And of course, the immortal prison escape, which had me in stitches longer than pretty much anything else in the franchise. Writing was pretty strong, and i liked the foreshadowing of Water 7.
Next would be Icehunter. It was decent, but started to suffer from poor characterization half-way through. The Phoenix Pirates were wasted as characters, Puzzle was a let down, and Jiro has to be the most annoying filler kid yet. I did like Blend and Capuccino's fighting style, that was fun to watch. Though, sadly, at the end of the day, the only villians I felt anything for were the Don, because he had an awesome fight, and his final speech was very Oda-ish, and Lil, because everything she did was because she only wanted someone to play with.
-

Yeah commander Johnathan really was an intresting opponent, Always so laidback and easy going, and yet he outwitted them at every turn. Also found the fact that he was named as Akainus protege, wonder if they got that from Oda? Im not really clear on whether or not he gets any input in the anime at all.
-
G8 had me laughing out loud so many time that i had to question with are not oda secretly wrote it.
-
G8- It wa Super funny, Luffy and everyone else were hilarious in this arc! Although, when I watched it, it had HORRIBLE subs.
-
G8 for sure i have watched it about 4/5 times now, it has good classic one piece action with the new twist of a "strategy type thing" Whilst containting all the humour we love and showing that the Pirates are fully committed to their dreams (mainly shown with the Sanji-Jessica chef thing and the Chopper-Dr. Kobato- Surgeon thing).
Anyway it was amazing #1 Filler arc for sure!!
-
G8. It has one of my favourite scenes in one piece. Luffy & Sanji have just staged a breakout from the prison. However, unbeknownst to them, Lieutenant Drake is waiting just outside with a huge amount of marines, and there is no other way to go. On their way out, Zoro takes the lead, and using his Ryoga-like powers of direction, manages to magically get them totally lost, somehow missing the ambush in the process. Classic.
-
G8 for one reason only…
ussop's CONDORIANO! ;D
-
G8 ftw
16 characters of decent filler material…. sigh.. whatever
-
I liked the Ice Hunter Arc and G8 Arc
-

Well, we have gotten our share of intelligent opponents. Crocodile, Kuro and even Moria were intelligent on their own. Tsuru's probably among the smartest marines, and Smoker's not just muscles either.
Anyway, I liked the ice hunter filler. It was nice to see a paramecia as wacky as Luffy's in action.
-
G8 for sure :D
I laughed so many times and even when I see the episodes again I laugh again . haha !Especially the part at the prison with the Phone dial haaha , it was very nice.
-
I generally enjoyed all the fillers, but G8 has to be my favourite. Although the Apis filler runs a close second. : )
-
My favorite filler arc is Ocean's Dream because of how the Strawhats lost their memories, and how they got them back. And I liked the ending to the Ocean's Dream arc.
Also, I liked the G8 arc because of how the Strawhats explored the Marine base and escaped it. And I liked the character Jonathan and his tactical strategies to catch the Strawhats. -
G-8 most definitely!
It was all the things I love about one piece rolled into a neat package minus the overly long fight scenes (yeah I'm sorry but I hate it when the fights drag out so long). Also Usopps 'Condoriano' was epic win enough to justify the entire arrc
-
Warship Island arc. Followed by Ocean Dream's arc. I like all fillers. x3

I love the arc,but there were a few problems-
1-dont you think it was anoying when Brindo was all-atalk about how "captured pirates smile while being given over to marines in Lovely Land", they ignored it completely later?
2-there were too many Phoenix pirates-some were so useless that I wasnt even able to find an independent screen on them.
3-they had all those guys in swimming rings as soldiers ,right? So,where were they later, when the strawhats were lost in their house? We saw ONE guy, that was it.Having fighting fodder would be beter then just going into rooms.
4-They were INCONSISTENT about the Don's DF.
- At first,Zoro was able to slash THROUGH him,hit and damage the wall behind him, while he wasnt hit
- THEN when Luffy tried to punch him,he heated up a part of his body and there was no impact-when Luffy was pumeling his front,he didnt even budge.
- THEN he could take hits -I didnt see when Gear Second was somehow PHYSICALY diferent then a normal punch, aside from speed and strength.
- and THEN,at 10 000 degrees,hes punch away by Luffy,WHILE rushing at him,and Luffy wasnt even hurt.
MAKE UP YOUR FUCKING MINDS!I think they just ran out of time-they even anounced the arc to be longer initialy.
5. Lilo doesnt even get to speek with her father, even after the whole skit.
Aside from that,I didnt see anything even remotely 100 000 000-worth in Puzzle's whipping with a chain. He was even prety mediocre at THAT even.
And one more thing-they had a whole "flashback" about the Phoenix Pirates defeat, and it was all silent-it just looked like they were to return to it.
Then there was the fact they gave the Don litle to no screentime before his fight-and then they said his name in the whole arc,I think TWICE-some sites that were re-caping it didnt even know what the characters were called.

No,they just put up a random admiral name out of their asses-he acts the exact oposite of Akainu.
-
None of them I really liked. Maybe the start of the Apis arc the most.
But I think I enjoyed the single filler episodes the most. For example the episode where Usopp made fireworks. -
I liked that, need to add a plot summary to those.
But some work, some dont.Sanji's is the only one I KINDA dislike and Zorro's-well, it just felt OOC if ya know what I mean.
-
G-8 is probably the best one out there. When I first watched One Piece I thought the Ussop arc was a filler because i found it so boring little did I know it was orginal material.
-
INo,they just put up a random admiral name out of their asses-he acts the exact oposite of Akainu.
I thought a protege was just someone in whom you had noticed talent and took that person under your wing to develope their talents. But maybe a protege is only when your molding someone in your own image. But either way i wouldnt mind if Oda put in him, or someone similar in the story with Akainu. Their interaction could be wonderful, Kind of like Grit and Max in Advance wars
-
None of the fillers reaally sucked but none were really great either.
The best one was probably the one where Zoro meets Yosaku and Johnny for the first time imho. -
I distinctly remember that i couldnt stop laughing at or take serious a man whos name is mountain whale dick:silly:
-
Dick is a respectable name-like Tracey.
But that Zorro episode just felt-were always on an island and sudenly were inlands somewheres and the feel is diferent as all hells.
-
sure G-8 arc is the best and i love davy back arc =~) thanks^^
-
G-8 was really best for two reasons;
-
No annoying filler kid
-
Because it actually was damn good arc and I have watched it 3-4 times just because I want to watch it.
-
-
In terms of One Piece filler, there's G8, and there's fail. There's very little in between.
-
Why the fuck can't they make another G8-quality filler arc, anyway?! Was G8 a fluke?! If so, they need to fluke again!
-

Part of Toei wants One Piece to be aired for younger viewers and they are forced to add that damn filler kid (you know it, it has diffrent gender/face but same attidute) that initually hates SH's but later becomes their fan.
This seems to be main story for all non-G8 fillers showing meaning of growth and acceptance…
Apis was first incarnitation and that girl who liked that bug was latest but they are from same mold.
-
What, how can you possibly suggest that the Apis arc and the Movie Prelude arc have anything in common?
In the Apis arc, the Straw Hat crew meet a little girl with a strong connection to a large creature in a weakened state and save said creature from pirates.
That's nothing at all like the Movie Prelude arc!

The lost memory filler was nothing like that. The Spa Island filler girl never hated the crew. The other Foxy filler was nothing like that. Then there were several crew specific filler episodes (post Arabasta and post Enies Lobby) that weren't in that mold as well. Of course, the Edo Luffy episodes are also totally different. Actually, I can only think of about 4 filler arcs which fit that very broad description, and one of them has a filler old man instead of a kid (the one with the goats).

LIAR!!!
In the Warship Island arc, the Straw Hat crew meet a little girl with a strong connection to a large creature in a weakened state and save said creature from the Navy. Totally different. And (though I believe I'm the only one on Earth who thinks this) the Warship Island arc was actually fun, unlike the movie-specials. -
Warship Island had some good sequences that I liked, such as Luffy destroying Nelson's flagship, Zoro holding off Erik while the others got away, and taking the Merry back while the others rode their makeshift raft down the mountainside with Ryuuji. Oh yeah, and the part where Apis blows up the kitchen, since you just hear a muffled explosion and see Sanji and Usopp staggering around on the rigging while trying to get in the crow's nest while the ship shakes.
-
I liked the Warship Island arc overall, but there are some nitpicky things about it that I can't get past. First and foremost, I don't like how they mixed the real story in with it. Even that I wouldn't care about so much if they didn't mess up the power levels of Zoro and Luffy. The fact that Zoro could cut steel, Luffy could split a Marine warship in half, and the arc itself was mixed in with the real story is something I always had a hard time getting past. I believe I could deal with either the mistakes or the intertwined story, but both together bothers me.
-
Good times.
Anyone remember that bit at the end of Oceans Dream where Usopp narrates Zoro's battle against the sea horse? The best thing.
-
Ocean's Dream arc was fun to watch, almost like a fan fiction animated. But G-8 was deffinetely better. I can't believe I havn't re-watched it in a while…Goes to watch it
-
My favorites would have to be the G-8 Arc (obviously), but strangely enough, also the goat arc and the Usopp story with that little kid that did the fireworks thing. Where filler characters normally annoy the *$&^ out of me, I like the idea of goats being enough to take down an enemy fleet and that fireworks kid…she somehow just didn't annoy me. Even Oda, who gave us that one brat from the Little East Blue Arc, failed to impress me. And the attempted breakout scene where Sanji was trying to find the impact dial...my god I laughed so hard.
-
@Cuddles:
Even Oda, who gave us that one brat from the Little East Blue Arc,
Are you sure about this?
-
Are you sure about this?
To tell you the truth, I kinda' wavered on this after I wrote it. However, I was under the impression that because Oda was doing the movie, he also wanted to influence that particular arc, since he was supposed to have pretty much been in charge of everything Strong World.
If I'm mistaken, I'll personally knock on his door and ask him to punch me square in the mouth. -
Toei made the Movie 10 filler arc themselves. And personally, I barely consider it something related to Strong World, since it had nothing to do with the movie in the end. I'm sure if Oda wrote it he'd at least attempt to integrate it to the movie somehow, or at least make it watchable.
-
Wow, G-8 even beat the "None" option…
Although, I have to say even the so-called "Bad" filler arcs occasionally have their moments.
Like Charagon pointed out, the Ocean's Dream had that great part where Usopp Narrated Zoro's fight XD
-
Apis arc for sure. "Yay we're finally off to the GRAND LINE!!!!!…
.. no wait let's take a little detour first, the most annoying kid in the world needs help."
