To help the OP 4Kids discussion stay on track, I'm makin' this thread. I've never seen the anime, so I truly don't know who would be most likely to get it.
So… which company do you think will get the dubbing rights?

Funi… They're into the shounen fighting stuff.
Yep FUNi will get it, they needed a new long DBZ show (FMA is only 51 eps long) and Bleach is the newist hot Anime out there.
Whoever gets Bleach, I hope they remove that horrible 'Number One' song from the dub track.
It's so fuckin' cheesy!
I doubt anyone will license it anytime soon. It's only like 30 eps in.
Ya but its fun to gress(SP).
^I think its "guess"
I would guess Funi as well. It seems like something they would license, though its way too early to tell.
I'd really love to see FUNi get it, if for other reason than the fact that I've pretty much imagine Ichigo speaking with Justin "Yusuke" Cook's voice since the very first time I read the manga. I think in general that FUNi's in-house VAs would probably do the best job on an English version of the series.

Yeah, I don't like that song at all.
I'd like to think FUNimation would get it but honestly anybody could license it.
o.O
But… I LIKE Number One...
Anyway, yeah, with the way Funi's doing things nowadaways, I definitely see them picking up Bleach.
Whoever gets it, it has better not be 4Kids or we will be seeing Shinigamis fighting with sticks (aka zanpaku-sticks? shudders) instead of zanpakutohs. <_<
Is bleach any good? I could have gotten around to reading the manga, but meh.
read the manga, its better than the anime, imo
IMO, I think both are good (hey it's nice to see the characters animated, even the artist fell in love with episode one of his own work XD). If you are interested, I would recommend you to watch tha anime and read the manga.
Bleach had me obsessed within the first 5 pages of the first chapter. I've never been so instantly in love with a series before. I also think the manga is a tad better, but the anime is constantly improving every week. So check out whichever medium you prefer
4kids presents Bleach!!!! (Shudders in fear)
The thing you could definately look forward to would be name changes and violence edits galore. I suspect that certain events would be changed around to like OP's were. Ichigo's mom won't have been killed by the hollow but sent to the dungeon! Hammer swords will abound and Kenpachi would probobly have his name changed to Coolio on the count of his hair.

oh ok. good besides isnt there a lesbo couple in the anime. 4k would never allow that
Cousins! I was hooked as soon as I saw the father. Great Manga. Hope Funi or Shopro(Inuyasha style Shopro, not EXE).
I see Bleach as being more of an ADV thing. ADV needs a new Inuyasha a lot more than Funimation needs a new DBZ (they've got Conan and FMA to milk).
Here is the dub cast of Bleach (By FUNImation or Bang Zoom!) sent from heaven to grace this site with it's pure perfection:
Ichigo- Justin Cook (Yusuke)
Rukia -Kari Wahlgren (Fuu and Haruharuko)
Yuzu- Sue Beth Arden (Shinobu and Rem Saverem)
Kon- Jerry Jewel (Barry The Chopper and Jin)
Ichigo's Dad- Sonny Strait (Maes Hughes)
Tatsuki- Dorothy Fahn (Best Female VA on earth) Naru,Kaoru and Meryl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Karin -Barbara Goodson (Naota from FLCL)
Kisuke- David Blum (Spike, Mugen, Kakashi)
Orihime- Lia Sargent (Milly and Judy)(The cowgirl from Big Shot for Bounty Hunters on Cowboy Bebop)
Chad- Chris Sabat in a Rocky Balboa imitation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and 4Kids can't get Bleach, it's impossible. Why, because the second it's able to be aquired FUNImation will grab it and run. There is no way they are gonna lose anymore big name titles like they somehow did with Naruto and One Piece. They will also likely pick up Dr. Slump and HunterxHunter around the same time as Bleach.

ADV didn't do Inu-Yasha. It was released by Viz/Shopro…who have Naruto now, which will likely do them well for the next several years, minimum. ADV doesn't generally do long running series, as their licensing policy is more "release as many different shows as possible with no mind for anything else", so long running stuff tends to be too much of an investment. The only one I can think of that they have is Saint Seiya.
Considering though, that Viz/Shopro and FUNi are the only two major companies that really concentrate on these types of shows (well, and 4Kids, but we're going to hope they don't get involved here), I'd say they're still the two most likely.

You forgot the wonderful people at Bang Zoom! who brought us the amazing and flawless dubs of Samurai Champloo and Rurouni Kenshin. I have not seen the Tenjho Tenge dub yet (Darn slow Best Buy) but I'm sure it's flawless.

Bang Zoom is not a licensing company. There's a difference. The major licensing companies include Geneon, Media Blasters, Bandai, ADV, FUNimation, Viz/Shopro, and 4Kids. They're the ones that actually bring stuff over.
ADV and FUNimation have their own in-house dubbing studios that they usually use, because they're both in Texas, where different acting union laws apply, but other than that, dubs are sub-contracted out. Bang Zoom, ZRO Limit, New Generation, and several others are located in California, and are often used by Geneon, and occasionally by the others as well. Ocean and Blue Water are in Canada, and get a lot of work by Viz/Shopro. NYAV is in New York, and is often used by Media Blasters and pretty much always by 4Kids. Bandai tends to go around 50/50 between California and Canada. These differences in location are the reason most VAs only appear in dubs by certain studios. I'll note your post, for example, while not bad in terms of casting at all, would be impossible, since it mixes Texas and California VAs…and while that does happen, it never does so in such a significant way, and even then, it's rare.
That said, California dubs usually are pretty good, though not always...X rounded up a good cast, but was poorly directed and came out very awkward sounding. Scryed turned out horribly outside of Crispin Freeman's Straight Cougar. Ultimately, though, it's a matter of their regular VAs. This is generally why I prefer FUNi to get the series and dub it in house...they have, in my mind the actors with the voices best suited to the characters.
I thought bandai did Saint Saiya. o.o
