Anyway, what instruments do you guys play? for how long? etc.
I play Acoustic Guitar and Piano myself.
I like Guitar a ton more than piano, but I like piano's musical range, so I play it too. Later on this year I'll be uploading a few of my guitar covers of songs on Youtube.

I've played saxaphone in a band for 4 or 5 years. Just quit this year, school work is getting too annoying for me too be doing sax atm, I might start playing again when I can afford my own sax.
Piano is just a hobby, I play on my keyboard for fun once in a while.
Drumming is also just a hobby.

I went through alot of music back in grade school. First, in 4th grade I tried out the trumpet. But, that didn't work out for me. Then, I played the cello for a few months. It turns out that wasn't really my style either. 5th-9th grade, I switched to the trombone.
I used to play Baritone Sax.
Damn that instrument was heavy!

I taught myself guitar, and I believe I'm pretty good, of course I do just jam like an hour or two every day, since I'm WAY way too much into music.
But just try youtube vids, learn some basic chords and how to read guitar tabs, and you can go a LOT of places. I started about five years ago, and within a month, I was playing songs I listen to.

In seventh grade I took the French Horn, switched to Baritone Horn, and then quit because the teacher was an impatient jackass.
Been a bass player for about 5-6 years. On and off and jumping from band to band. I have yet learn to play slap bass but working on that now and getting the hang of it.

Former saxophonist here. I ended up stopping because I reached the limit of my ability, one has to invest a lot of time before being able to free solo in the correct key and play by ear.
good ol' guitar player, but i don't play that much anymore, due to the huge amount of work i need to have in order to play some more cool stuff.
I use to play guitar but stopped for awhile…my guitar is in a storage shed in california, I however live in utah...so yeah..that's a problem. I'm mainly a vocalist.
Alto sax for 9 years, Soprano sax for 1 (EXTREMELY hard to tune notes), Bari sax right now.
I played guitar for 5 years when I was little, but I've forgotten most of the technique. I've also learned a few songs on the piano, but would not call myself a pianist by ANY means.
And I was THIS CLOSE to making All State on Alto a couple years back, but…didn't. Competition was too heavy.
I've considered trying out for all-state for tenor sax many a time.
never did though, my friend in band could own me in a sax off.
I'd love to learn how to play the saxophone….just thought throw that one out there.

I played the saxophone for 4 years. I was in the band at school and I stopped because there were some classes in high school that I wanted to take and wouldn't be able to take if I had stayed in the band. I'll still play it every once in a while, though.

Mainly electric guitar (I sing too). Totally self taught, now I just need to find myself a band that's actually dedicated… You'd think your unemployed musician friends would have nothing better to do, but people seem to get lazier when they don't work...
Been self teaching myself piano the past few weeks, my chorus teacher likes how well I do when learning songs that he's done in the past by ear.
