Well it's not bad (and the beginning put apart, the song isn't that bad), but of course not at the level of the original version. But the video is good.

Probably not as much as they're liking it over there in japan. TVXQ, big boy band liked in basically all of Asia, singing We are, the representation of the current Shonen Jump big gun, is like a gigantic fan-service for them in general.
I would have liked some Supernova smexyness but it seems they don't care for spoilers anymore. In our last opening all we got was a Moria group picture and some Brooke service. It looks like all they care about now is service. And the Supernovas didn't really create a big enough bang like Brooke did to consider putting 'em in as a service. That or they're just lazy.

That was easily better than the intro created by Toei.
I think the New We Are lost everything that made the original song so good. The quirkiness has been replaced with modern synthesizing. While the original clips for the first We Are were at times boring, such as Merry riding and hopping on the globe background, or the monsters swimming by. It was still an enjoyable intro, due to the rest of it being great animation for a low budget show. The crew fighting scene, Luffy running, and Luffy's head turn a she hangs on Merry's head, they were all animated amazingly.
But the major problem with this intro is just the fact that the Straw hats do nothing but run. Running while the past characters go by, okay standard anime stuff, that's cool. Still running! Pans of villains, no animation just flashly still, oh a little bit of an animation loop with Ace and Blackbeard! Oh and more running! Oh here's some panning… back to running!
What I liked about the original We Are was the fact you could watch it without being spoiled. It didn't have anything to do with the upcoming episodes minus a few falshes of future villains. Here it showcases Odz/Oz/the big O, and Gear 2nd, which makes this intro lose its timeless feel. I would figure they would make an intro last a few arcs, so they wouldn't tie it down to be for one arc or 2, but that seems to be the case with all current intros, minus Crazy Rainbow Star. Which while it was boring, it was a decent song, and the animation wasn't bad; just didn't showcase any of the things we come to see One Piece, the action. If the gang actually faught the T-rex, then it would of been a great intro.

i loved the new intro, the flashbacks were very nostalgic combined with the song….which wasnt great but it wasnt that bad either...then combined with the new villains, a cool shot of brook and capping it off with a shot of shanks that makes him look kinda legendary...i liked it a lot =)....although i agree with some that it wont last long....gonna need a new one after thriller bark is over

ThegreatPirateKing's version is much better. All that has to be done now is use actually music instead of that electronic junk and we'll be all set.
I guess what irk's about this opening is that it's not really acknowledging that there's a journey going on; it just summarizes things we've seen before, like it's frozen in time. And if they did want to offer a summary of the series, why stop at the departure from Alabasta?
When the anime gets to where the manga is right now, and the opening is of the Straw Hats running through tropical scene #876 with huge Hisada-grins on their faces, well, I'd be severly, severly disappointed.

Seriously the remixed sucked. They could've done it so much better, they should have done the cast version again. Animation wise, it was decent. But alas the song ruined it.

One Piece openings are supposed to be BOMBASTIC. This was not. This did not scream "adventure on the high seas." This was a pale imitation.
The animation is nice, if highly lacking. I squealed when Ace was shown, thought Shanks and co. looked cool. That's about it. Nothing to particularly gripe about.
Kokoro no Chizu cannot be beat.

I like Rainbow Star it was the first one i saw when i started watching One Piece…But when i found out that FUNimation was dubbing it i started watching it.....why do people not like Rainbow star i thought it was one of the best openings in OP i liked it better than Jungle P thats for sure.

No I also liked rainbow star. But about this opening, I do not think it will last too long. I think it will last the same amount of time as Brand New World did, if not less. I think it's just a recap of the series thus far since they are almost at the half way point in the series.
I like Rainbow Star in it's full version a lot better than I do the OP. In all honesty it's a good song, it's just very off-putting to hear "crazy crazy rainbow star" with One Piece footage.
After some more viewings, the new We Are is growing on me. Still don't think it works as an OP though. It should have just been an extra on a CD or something.

For years I wanted a new We Are opening. And got this. It's not horrific, but not great either. And the animation is just… guh. Points for cool still images of the past villains (Jango!).

Yeah, on second thought, you're right. I mean, featuring the Odz-battle is no different from featuring the parting with Vivi, I guess. (Though those two strike me as somewhat random scenes to feature in the opening…)
I like Brand New World as a song best, but Kokoro No Chizu is the best opening, hands down IMO. Bon Voyage, Believe, and Hikari E rank high up too.
I actually enjoyed this opening. Few things:
-LOVED the fact that they showed Vivi's farewell.
-Wish they showed the other CP9 members (the others are FAR more interesting than Spandam and Lucci, but then again, Lucci IS a major villian)
-Song seemed a bit weak, but it feels like the anthem of the series. I can't ever hate it.
-Alvida looks freaking awesome with her gun pose. I can't wait to see those two again.
-Watching Robin run with a smile on her face seemed strange. And did anyone notice her hair was longer than usual?
I'm going to be completely honest, I loved this opening. The animation was terrific, the song was sung beautifly and well, quite frankly, it's much better than what I expected.
I'll admit I was a little peeved that Brook wasn't shown as part of the crew but that's understandable seeing as how he's not a Mugiwara in the anime yet. However I am satisfied with his close-up since it was like they were emphasizing his importance/fore-shadowing that he's going to join.
Adding Vivi and Merry was also amazing on they're part. The crew's departure from Alabasta is in my mind one of the most touching moments in the series and, well if you read my introduction thread when I first came to AP you know how I feel about Merry. Runs onto cliff overlooking the ocean I LOVE YOU MERRY!!! REST IN PEACE!!! Ahem Anyway having Merry sailing off into the sunset like that was an excellent way to pay homage to the fallen hero. cries Runs back to cliff I MISS YOU MERRY!!!
But anyway, yeah, this is definatly, in MY, (empahsize, emphasize, emphasize), OPINION, (again, emphasize), one of the best openings One Piece has had.
ok, i've listened to it a few times now and i think it is ok. nothing special but i expected worse. it has still a cool vibe though i like jungle p more.
the music is great, especially the upbeat start with techno-y beats but the animation just seems lazy. I hear the song sstart and see the logo and expected to see cool scenes and actual "action" and it's all the characters standing around or running in place for the entire duration of the freaking song!
I thought the openings that just reused color covers' were bad! Meh…atleast the song is cool!
the majority of OP openings are mediocre and forgettable to begin with but this...actually turned out well. Too bad the animation sucks. I hope, like someone mentioned, they'll add different clips when TB ends.
I enjoy the opening as a song in and of itself, but I have to agree with some people. It doens't have that same "High Seas Adventurer" feel that other openings have had, and it didn't have any action in it.
All in all, it could be worse, but it could also be waaaaay better as an opening.

I still need to let this song grow on me, so I'm not sure where it ranks compared to the other OPs yet.
Believe is song ripped from a dance craze that involves women in as little clothing as possible and crazy sex. The only thing happy-go-lucky about it is my cock.

But yeah, the art made me cringe a bit, chopper looked like crap when he was running.
It is a meh opening at best. I liked the oz getting up part, and gear 2nd gives me chills no matter how many times I see it.
Jungle p, Brand New World, and Kokoro no Chizu still beat the shit out of everything. Those are like the only ones where you can "feel" the animation coming to life as the song does. It's how every anime intro SHOULD/wishes it could be.
Just like every opening, this one's starting to grow on me. I'm liking it more and more, but the original is still better.
This intro is definitely the black sheep of One Piece intros. It was expected to be filler length, but the pacing…
It didn't have the energy that it should have, but it still felt oceany, just a different type. It gave me more of a feeling of Salt. So, I shall hereby refer to this as the We Are-Salt Remix.
It really is a shame, though. Almost no action, Brook still not recognized as a Straw Hat, no real spoilers (I was really hoping for a Supernova panning shot.).
Still, I do like it.

This is a mix of the new opening with the 7 Mugiwara Version of We Are by OnePark on VP Forums, there are some obvious edits that he pointed out to make the song fit, but it works like a charm, and fits the animation perfectly 
Anybody else think the Oz bit might change episode-to-episode? Like this week's episodes might show Luffy vs Nightmare Moria. Just food for thought.
