You know what I mean-you've read (and, or)watched it from episode one, been shocked/amused/blown away, then all of a sudden 'THE END'. "Hang on, what about character X's conflict with Y'? what happened to resolving the issues surrounding Z's relationship with his father?"(or something similar) Or simply, "WTF?! (Possibly after a shit-ton of hype) is that it?"

that's why i hate hellsing the anime and am patiently waiting for the ovas.
The Escaflowne anime had one of the most rushed endings I've ever seen. It was like they realized they were coming to their 26 episode limit and rather than cut out a few plot points to make their set episode number, they started cramming lots of things into the last five episodes. Esca could have EASILY gone on for several more episodes, yet they choose not to do so.. Sad really.. The ending is the only thing I actually hated about that series.
Tokio Underground has the most rushed ending of all manga i've read. Main character suddenly powers up, and defeats all enemy's with ease somehow. And there were so many things left unfinished.

Anyway, Dragonball's ending was pretty rushed.
! It pretty much seemed like Toriyama went "Meh, I'm tired of writing this, I'll just have Goku run off to train Uub, even though they only met ten minutes ago. THE END." Though honestly, this ending COULD have worked, but it was just so sudden. It didn't really feel like the end of the entire series, more like just the end of an arc in the middle of the story…
Can't believe no one's mentioned Yu Yu Hakusho.
Double Arts. Even though it was cancled, I still felt it had a horrible ending >_<

Not a damn thing was explained, the only thing they said was that those 2 kids love each other. Which I didn't care about.
And Dragonball's ending was fine, Goku found what HE was looking for. I mean Toriyama could've said Uub became the savior of earth after goku dies, but it's just implied.

Definately agree with you there Malintex, with all the events prior to the sudden end-the second exam, training to get the 'dark upgrade' for the mo plate(forgot official name) the tidbit from daddy-hiiragi about using Mo with borrowed Magic which suggested that we'd get alot more fights, unresolved issues(Ise and his Brother for example-which was dealt with ham-handedly in the second exam) Hiiragi and Taiga's relationship boiling down to essentially nothing…

I fail to see how that was rushed. The "10 years later tournament" was meant to be an epilogue, a bonus that most series doesn't have the time/patience to deliver. One can say the real ending was the victory against Buu.
And still, Goku clearly stated how he was waiting for the reencarnated Buu to show up since their battle years ago. It's not like they casually met at the tournament, Goku was there just to meet him. Seeing how Uub was still leagues away from Buu, Goku takes him way to train and the series goes full circle.
It's anything but rushed..whether people like it or not is subjective, naturally.
The Fullmetal Alchemist anime ending hands down, movie didn't do shit either.
And I love the FMA anime.

This is a no brainer: the Hellsing TV series.
It didn't help matters that the TV series only covered the first 2 volumes of the manga, but to completely disregard the main storyline in favor of throwing in a filler villain who brings no real development to the series and have the series itself end with
! the Hellsing organization dissolving and Integra awaiting execution is just a major dick kick to the fans.
Thank GOD that Kouta Hirano gave the series a second chance to redeem itself with the OVAs. the OVAs really are worth the purchase if you're a true fan of Hellsing!

Oh man…so glad you posted that. I completely agree. I think I either read or heard somewhere that it was originally planned to be a 39 episode series, then was cut to 26. Such a shame too...because I was really left with wanting more.
Two more animes that were rushed in their ending: Flame of Recca and His and Her Circumstances. FoR ends with no real resolution after Kurei is defeated. So we assume that he just plagues his father afterwards? Glad that the manga finishes it up. Same applies to His Her. The last few episodes show us how everyone is hyped for the school play, along with the confusion of Arima's feelings. Not to mention the last episode itself barely had any animation at all (insert joke of Gainax blowing their budget). Thankfully the manga closed up a lot of questions. Still wish I could see the school play animated.

Would it have killed Watanabe to create a few more episodes? (Not hating on the anime here. It would be my only 10/10 anime had it not been for the ending. and my strong dislike for Julia >(
Anime evangelion is the famous candidate,but the movie could explain stuff if you thought about it.

Yay we beat the best team in the country let's pose for a picture oh yeah Sakuragi broke his back and we were decimated in the next round and I'm gonna tell all of this in like two pages hope you're satisfied fans!!

Maybe one more episode to build up the hype between Vicious and Spike . But i'll say that i like the ending .
