So he must have a family.. any predictions on this?

What we know so far:
Luffy has a grandfather. We don't know anything about him except that mentioning him to Luffy makes Luffy very nervous.
Luffy has a brother. We know Ace, so I won't say anything else.

Well Luffy's grandfather is originally shown in Romance Dawn Version 2. So if anyone had happened to see it maybe it was something his grandfather did or said.

If so, it can definately be ruled as "non-canon" anyway.

i think that what happened in the romance dawn doesn't count in one piece. even luffy is not exactly the same guy IMO
Of course it doesn´t count, but we could take it as visual referance. Luffy, the two girls from both versions who look somewhat like Nami and Shanks ALMOST look the same like in One Piece. They are just a little bit drawn different, quite obviously since they´ve been the first stories and Oda was still trying to find the definite look.
But since they are basically the same, I tend to say that Luffy´s grandfather will also basically look the same like in Romance Dawn II. However his role will be different, since the Romance Dawn events don´t mix that well with the One Piece continuity.
i think dragon might have some relation to him. and i'm posative that he's related to roger. and about the hat, i like the idea of it being passed down to shanks by roger (who i think is luffy's gandpa) and later to luffy by shanks.
i think luffy's dad has to sleep whens he is eating and acts like an idiot

Just because its old it doesn't mean there isn't anything to discuss, i personally would love to know more about Luffy's Family, they are all incredible so far, i mean come on, you have Garp the fist a top rate Marine commanding officer then The Revolutionary Dragon, the worlds most wanted man after that we have Fire Fist Ace 2nd Division Commander of Whitebeard Pirates and last but not least Luffy himself, defeated all of the top pirates in east blue 2 of the Shichibukai and not to mention all of them carry the "Will of D" i can tell you i am very interested in his family.
