Waiting for her to reveal a unique personality and some kind of bizarre and crazy fighting style. Because every Strawhat has one. We have swordsman who uses 3 sword, a sniper who uses a catapult, a reindeir hybrid fighter, someone who can sproud body parts all over the place etc.
I think the big ugly one gave him the hand job (I haven´t taken a look at the raw/ch. scan so I´m not sure)

It's to early to tell what her fighting abilities are from one chapter. She does meet one requirement to be a female member of SH that is to be hot. Personally in my opinion the hottness of Nami and Nico is enough to equal an entire fleet of beautiful women so in my opinion another female member isn't needed with those two goddesses around but if she were to join it's cool too.

So far, every time oda has had a hot girl with an animal companion meet up with the straw hats, she's a temporary ally, unless she's a bad guy.
But in all seriousness. I find that hoping every new girl that comes along to be a shipmate is a waste of time and energy. If anyone will join Luffy and his crew they eventually will. But we don't really have any info on Magaret yet. I agree she would make an interesting crewmate, however it's just too soon to start making calls and threads about this. But maybe I'm wrong.

She doesn't necessarily have a pet though. The island appears to have those types of snakes either everywhere, or a certain number of them go to specific tribe members. It (the snake) hasn't been spoken to yet or named either, and with the combination of no introduction box ~~ we can hardly make assumptions either way or provide evidence either way.
But in terms of "hoping", at the least I am all for a female powerhouse character. (And I mean Luffy/Zoro/Sanji level).
Well Zoro needs a 3 women on his arm as he has 3 swords nami robin and this new one being his most close women
