Yes, yes he is.
Afro Samurai/Ninja-Ninja: Samuel L. Jackson.
He voices both of them.

^ No. Its Samuel L. Jackson, its media baby.
Are you a tool? What kind of silly logic is that? All anime titles dubbed in America have American actors, so I guess that puts them in Media, too?
Besides, it looked like it was released in America before Japan.
Doesn't make it any less Japanese nor decrease the likelihood of a subbing group picking it up. It's run on Fuji TV will likely surpass the American dub.
I agree this should be in Other anime/manga section. It IS an anime, it just happens to have been premiered in America.
Anyways my thoughts on the series so far:
-top notch animation, very gorey and pretty to watch, I love the use of lighting that makes some scenes look semi-black/white (like the bar scene, with the bright yellow lemonade) It's all very well animated and has a great visual style, but when each episode has a 1 million dollar budget that's to be expected
story so far is a little sketchy, but has some nice ideas and hopefully we'll go a little deeper into the plot (first episodes tend to lack much important plot)
Great voice acting, 2 characters are Sam Jackson, and the other characters have great voices as well (Especially the barmaid, Kelly Hu should seriously consider getting into more voice-work!)
I like the rapidfire crossbow/grenade launcher the guy at the end used, that was nifty
-great music, but that was a given
Right now I'd say it's got alot of potential, but we'll need more than the first episode to know for sure.
Well, my vote it stays here. It's not hurting anyone being here and this is where it's always been.
It was decent… I'm not sure if it will hold my interest past a few episodes. But, since Ron Perlman is the main badguy, I'll give it a chance.
IMO Sam L J. has a too disctinctive voice to be voicing 2 characters, it feels like the main char is a schizo. Other than that it picked my interest enogh to watch this till the end. Hopefuly they'll show justice more , cause Ron's voice is amazing :D
Ron's voice work is always incredible, even as Slade in Teen Titans.

Considering there's only four more episodes… :p
This is only a 5 episode series?
^ I had no idea…I was expecting 26...then this wont be too bad, I guess.
(Sorry for double posting)
I withdraw my previous statement, yesterday I found out Afro Samurai was actually based off a manga by an actual japanese guy. So yeah, this isn't just a japanese production for American television and then will be brought to Japan thing. I agree on the moving now.
I also hear they're doing a live-action movie of this, starring, of course, Samuel L. Jackson.
Ok, so yesterday the last episode was aired, and I was able to see it today. It was prettu much what I was expecting, except for the beginning…
This series was pretty deep… expecially when it was found out that Ninja Ninja wasn't real. The live action movie might work for this.
Anyway, I enjoyed the series it alot. And the robot battle (2nd round) in episode 3 was one of the most amazing fights ever...
BTW, I heard they might make more episodes. How will they do this with how the series ended?
And the girl…I thought the girl in the second episode was the girl of the flashback...then, on the fourth episode, I changed my opinion...and back again...
This anime was a quite enjoyable one. With enough money, I wouldn't mind having it on DVD. My only problem with it was that with only 5 episodes it felt horrible compressed, it could have been better as a 13 episode series.
But Buuhan1… how can they make a live action series if Samuel L. Jackson is Ninja Ninja AND Afro Samurai?
Wouldn't that give away the surprise that it's the same person?
