I dont wanna go into the details as to spoil things, but Tales of Vesperia, an Exclusive RPG for the Xbox 360 is really similar in the way things are set up in One Piece
the guilds, the characters… ect..
its a FANTASTICAL RPG and ANYONE ANYONE ANYONE who likes RPG's CAN NOT AFFORD TO MISS THIS ONE

its similar, and I am not the only one to make the comparisons either, alot of the themes from OP are in ToV, but its not like a carbon copy, it differs quite well too while being unique
It's a third party game. So it's not set in stone. During this generation any game which is from a third party might as well get ported at some point. Better that way anyway.
But I think I won't buy this. Looks nice enough though.

Still means it's coming out on the PS3 and is not solely exclusive to the 360 (un-shockingly enough).
Disgea 3 and GoldenAxe Beastrider are PS3 exclusive. Darksiders is going to both systems. Theres no point in arguing system wars, there are ALWAYS titles shared between them, and titles that each only get. (This time around tho the wii is missing out on a lot of ports because it doesn't have the power to keep up.) But where the Namco tales series is concerned, its reall stupid to try and prefer one system over another, because Namco does a TON of the things.
The Tales series is especially stupid about it because they make like12 games a year, that are always system exclusive. Phantasia was Super Nintendo only, Symphonia was Game Cube, Destiny and Eternia were PS, Destiny 2, Rebirth, Legendia AND Abyss were PS2. Innocence and Hearts were DS, and Vesperia, their first next gen release, was Xbox 360.
Then they had RERELEASES of Symphonia, Eternia, Phantasia, Desiny Desinty2, Destiny Director's cut and Rebirth to PSP and PS2. And smphonia is also going to the Wii.
The World series are GBA and PSP only
Namco's track record shows a heavy Playstation bias. Just because no games have been announced for the PS3 yet, doesn't mean there wont be any. Its pretty much assured they'll be doing a similar game soon announced for PS3. It won't be Vesperia probably, but will be something else with the same graphics and fighting system like all their games.

I downloaded the demo for ToV. It plays pretty well. I like how a dog is a playable character and doesn't speak (I'm looking at you RedXIII).
I have Blue Dragon to finish and Eternal Sonata to replay. I'm booked in terms of 360 RPGs. However, I'll keep my eye on it.

You probably saw pictures of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. That's a different game than Tales of Vesperia. (same series, but different story, world, characters, etc.) Though one Symphonia character appears in a cameo fight in Vesperia, from what I heard.

Because after all, a turn based system where you can use strategy and tecchnique to get in double hits or capitilize on enemy weaknesses, or plan what you're going to do, is so inferior to button mashing or abusing one particular move while 3 computer controlled AIs help out.
I enjoy the Tales series, I've played a lot of them, but they are all pretty much the same in terms of plot and combat system. (I do wanna play Vesperia sheerly for the dog tho.) I loved Star Ocean 2 way more than any of the Tales games, I'm not sure why. Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana are pretty much perfect games, and Zelda and Okami are of course the epitome, and they're real time fighting. But I also loved Dragon Warrior, Beath of Fire, and Final Fantasy, Super Mario RPG, Shadow Hearts, Pokemon, Disgea, Grandia and a ton more. There's so many variants on turn based systems its ridiculous. Some turn based systems are real time and fast, just with an attack order based around agility. And Persona has a FANTASTIC fighting system full of strategy and depth that gets more complex and involved as the game goes along.
There's a place for button mashing rpgs AND turn based rpgs, they're both good. You shouldn't write a game off entirely just because its one or the other. Particular the "next gen/previous gen" debate, since the last games for a system are usually the very best, and better than the first year or two of games for the new Gen.
And really, Persona 3 is pretty much the perfect RPG. I'm playing through it a second time and its amazing. I don't know anything about part 4 yet, but it should be amazing.

Also, to those duking it out between who got what, allow me to point out to certain Sony folk that while you might have Vesperia now, realize how you're relying on getting exclusives from the 360 in order to actually get in some sales. Says quite a lot when a PlayStation brand has to rely on an American console, that Japan won't normally touch, for RPGs.

Alright, your point was that it's sad/ironic/what-have-you that the PS3 depends on exclusives from the Xbox 360. For starters, Microsoft isn't the one handling Tales of Vesperia, Namco-Bandai is. Which means it was up to them to choose a platform on which to release. So, Microsoft actually has no part in this. They don't own the Tales series, and they aren't the ones calling the shots.
Namco-Bandai, meanwhile, is a game company, which means they want to make money. They chose to put it as an exclusive release on the Xbox 360 because they thought it made financial sense (don't ask me why. Feel free to correct me, but I think the 360 is still doing badly in Japan). Now they're releasing it on the PS3 because they think it's going to make them money. You wouldn't waste time and ressources making an upgraded version of an existing game for a console that's doing poorly.
I'll cite Resident Evil 4 as a good example of a similar event. Not to say that the 360 is doing badly or is bad itself, but this is no indication that Sony or the PS3 is desperate.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, Sony isn't begging Microsoft for games or anything.
BUT DISREGARD ALL THAT, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND PLAY ROGUE GALAXY. IT'S not that super great BUT IT'S WORTH YOUR WHILE.
