I would really like to see that movie. I know it probably won't top any box offices, but it still looks like a pretty cool movie. Besides, we don't get enough 3-D movies in regular theatres. It's nice to not have to travel all the way to the IMAX to see a movie in 3-D. I also find LavaGirl looks kinda hot. I know I shouldn't think that because she's jailbait, but I do. The pink hair makes her look like an anime character, and I love anime! The movie premiere is June 10. I'll try to see it the first or second day and let you guys know if it's worth the money. ;)

If I have to see a preview of this movie one more time, I'll have a brain aneurism.
-
So then I take it that you don't want to see it.
-
I don't want to see it, and it's bad enough they show preview for the dumb thing 20 times an hour.
And I don't get why they keep tryign to bring back the 3D gimmick… it isn't going to draw any more viewers, it's just lame.
Rodriguez needs to start working on another Sin City instead of stuff like this.
-
why George Lopez is in it I have no idea… he must be desperate
sorry but this movie looks lame, Spy Kids didn't even look good to me
-
Wanna know what I think about the movie?
Dumb <_<
-
I guess it would be a good thing for kids or just good to go see if you've never seen a 3d movies complete with the galsses and everything. I'll probobly take my little brother to see it.
-
Do you think 4KIDS bought this movie?

Hell's yeah!!!
-
Oh ya I used to love these kind of movies (when I was about eight). It looks too much like Spy Kids to be any good.
-
Hard to believe the same man directed that, Spy Kids AND SIN CITY.
-
So then I take it that you don't want to see it.
That would be correct. Not my kind of thing. But to each their own. However, the constant previews are driving me up the wall. ANYTHING that gets advertised that much will drive me insane eventually. A lot of people told me the first Spy Kids was actually good, but still, I never wanted to see it.
-
I really dont want to see that movie. it looks crappy.
-
Wow, I never knew this movie was so hated!

I haven't seen Sin City yet, but I was impressed with Spy Kids. It was way too cheesy and overexaggerated IMO. Even for kids, I'm guessing they know it's a little too over the top.
I wasn't thrilled with the 3D version for Spy Kids either, except I had to sit through that one. Something tells me instinctively that I'll definately not want to see this movie….. Ads appeared too cheesy already.
-
Yeah, they need to stop this 3D nonsence, cause look at this movie, it's pure crap! I mean commertials are SOPPOSED to make a movie look good and for this movie it's making it look bad. Take this scene (from the commertial) When Lavagirl or watever gets drenshed by water. She could have said something funny… But Noooooo she says "Thanks Sharky" That sounds so lame. This movie will fail and that girl will finnaly relize to get a role in a actual GOOD movie! (Heh! Maybe no one wants her.)
-
you guys also have to remember that he directed desperado, from dusk till dawn part 1 and once upon a time in mexico all of those were good movies as well as sin city =P
-
Whenever i see the commerical i say man it must be good to be so rich you make movies about your child's fantasy. The whole movie is based on a game that his kid made up.
-
Nevermind. I take back everything I said about it. 4Kids is helping with it's promotion. I don't want to see it anymore. <_<
-
This is the stupidest commerical I've seen since "Son of the Mask"
I hate the guy who makes these Spy Kids movies, and he's making this one too.
Ugh it just…pierces my heart to think that the great Quentin Tarantino and this loser who made this movie are teaming up to make another movie? shivers NOOOO!
-
Wow. 4Kids promoting a kids' movie. Awful.
-
It looks like a kid movie. Not that I'm interested in it now, but if I were 5-9 years old I'd probably think it were pretty cool.
-
Ok. I've decided to go see the movie anyway because…
1. My younger brother wants to see it.
2. Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon are promoting the movie too. Not just 4Kids.
3. LavaGirl has pink hair. We're going see it tomorrow, I'll let you guys know if it's worth renting on DVD. (I know none of you will see it in theatres)
-
I actually thought it was interesting for the first half of the trailer, I like kid movies really, before they got to the 3d stuff…. "Oooooo, we're in 3d!" Gimmicks are bad.
-
Ussop with a pushpop… Thanks and everything, but I don't think anyone wants to see that movie. But after you come back from watching it tell us how bad it bombed!
FUDGE!
-
Meh….I'll go see it.
I've seen the 3 Spy-Kids movies and I hope this won't dissapoint. -
Spy Kids 1 was good. The rest sucked. But Sin City….
Need DVD! -
~shivers~ Just thinking about the promos just make me tingle (and not in a good way). This movie is just away to get kids to spend their parent's money to see a crappy movie in 3D! I think I lost some brain cells just by watching the promo's. Kids movies are getting dumber and dumber.
(this moght be way off topic but there's another movie called Rebound that also looks stupid too.)
-
I don't like 3D cuz I hate things flying in my face. And This movie does sound pretty stupid….. Though, Spy Kids was pretty good, and Spy kids 2 was ok. No desire to see 3. tho. The 3D aspect totally turned me off.
-
Anna- Your sig….
I love you. -

Oi… come on guys, don't hate on a movie you only know by preview! >_> I'm 100% certain that the creators of this movie did not make it with older kids in mind. Just lay off and let the kids have their 3d-tastic movie, okay?
-
Well, there's one positive thing I can think of…for some reason when I see the previews, I start thinking of the Wierd Al Yankovic song "Nature Trail to Hell: In 3D!" random
-
Ok! Because nobody asked for it, here's my review!!!!
I can say many things about this movie. Allow me to break it down into the good, the bad, and the ugly format.
The Good- The computer animation in this movie is incredible. During the 3-D scenes, all backgrounds, props, vehicles, and enemies are computer generated. The placement and use of the 3-D effects were very well done. The battles in the movie were somewhat DragonBall Z-ish. Lot's of hard punches and launched projectiles. (Mostly fire and lava from LavaGirl) Surprisingly, the plot actually made sense! It's not the greatest plot in the world, but at least it goes somewhere. There's one more good thing about this movie…SharkBoy's Semi-Techno Breakdancing Lullaby!
The Bad- The ending of this movie is just…bleh. The best parts are at the beginning and the middle. The name of Sharkboy's and LavaGirl's home planet is "Planet Drool". Planet Drool, the planet of endless fun! Right. <_<
The Ugly- Worst. Puns. EVER! Allow me to provide an example,
SharkBoy, LavaGirl, and Max are all going down the River of Concentraion in a Banana Split Boat
LavaGirl: Row row row your Banana Split Boat, gently down the River of Concentration. Merrly merrly merrly merrly, life is but Max's dream.Yes, they are THAT bad.
Conclusion- This is a great movie for kids. If you have a younger brother or sister, take them to see this movie. If you are a teen with below average maturity (like me), go see this movie. If you are a teen with average or above average maturity, go see Star Wars Episode III again.
One more thing, if you do ever see this movie, see if you can spot the 2 Nintendo easter eggs! :P

That is the lamest pun I've ever read.EVER.

I am speechless.
-
I don't even know if that's a pun… that's just horrible.
-
I'm gonna see Star Wars ep III again.
I saw the trailer for this and I nearly spat on my com.Well…not really.(Just went "AHHhhhuuuguuhu??"
And who is that wierd Mr Elctric guy? -
Well that pun garentiees I'm not seeing this movie… EVER!
-
Good special effects? The previews show shitty ones. The water is crap…and Lavagirls fire well...then there is that cage and George Lopez's lightbulb head guy.
Scew this. I'll go to my friends house and watch the uncut version of Star Wars...with numbers on the top, but it has Han Solo! -

And who is that wierd Mr Elctric guy?
Mr. Electric is the sub villain of the movie. He later becomes the main villain.
-
Who was the original main villian?
And I take the part back about the good SFX.I rewtched the clips and I now officially say THIS MOVIE STINKS to the highest heavens. -
The original main villain was Minus, a kid the same age as Max. You've probably seen him on the previews. He catches a brain in his hands then throws it on the TV screen.
Please don't go saying that the movie stinks when you haven't seen it. It doesn't stink. Horrible puns aside, it's a pretty good movie.
-
Ewwww….brain storm...
-
Wow, I don't think I've even heard of it, actually.. is there like, any links to anything involving it?
-
Yes, you can view some trailers and clips of the movie right here.
-
Alright folks, you're more than welcome to not be interested in the movie, but you don't have to rag on it so hard. Just like anything else, there might be people who actually wanna see it… just because you're not one of them doesn't mean you have to be nasty about it.
I'm not interested in it myself, but you never know, it might be decent.
And for crying out loud, it's a movie aimed at kids, I hope y'all aren't expecting high quality cinema from a kid's movie...

I mean, if someone says "I think it will be bad", I'm fine with that. "It IS bad." without having seen it….. Let's say I begin to force the person to watch/read whatever it is that they so blindly go giving comments about. My sibling did that with One Piece (sad it was stupid because of the art) and I 'forced' them to watch OP. Now look who's a big fan.
So..... aside from that, I'm horribly when it comes to 'news'. Is this movie out yet? >_>
