@Elric:
Haha, that's right. Video editing can do insane things to your cpu. Mine runs at least an hour at 100% to multiplex such a HD raw. Fortunately, it still doesn't get excessively hot though. Now what do you think of this downsized sample's quality and the familiar manga font?
832x464, 62sec. 10.5mb
10mb per minute make the episode some easily digestible 240mb and imo it still looks very good. I'm gonna encode your next subs right after you put them up and spam em all over the anime w3bz. The OP hardsub n00bs will make you their king http://v3.drumandbass.at/board/images/smilies/new/aaa.gif
That looks pretty good, though I'm not sure if I like the way everything was capitalised… Can't you just stick to the "standard" font I used? ("Standard", as in both Kaizoku Fansubs and Vegapunk use it.) But sure, you can encode the episodes. Though I'll propably still try and upload them in HD, seeing how I've already done that with one episode, and would like to continue that. (Besides, if I only uploaded one single torrent, my registration on AniRena would be completely pointless...) Or could you take care of that too, as I'm just randomly assuming that your internet-connection is better than mine is. (Because mine is pretty bad... The upload-speed swings back and forth between 10 and 20 kbps...)
@JonDarkwood:
It would be so nice to build a fully open source One Piece sub community that wasn't just dependent on a single fansub group at any given time.
That would indeed be nice. Even though there appears to be a bunch of groups subbing it nowadays, it still seems like it takes a while for the episodes to actually get subbed… I thought it was because of a lack of good raws, but seeing how ZeroRaws uploaded this episode less than a day after it aired, I doubt that was it.
