@Refii:
What I love about this manga, is how they always change the mood. It's never too high, it's never too low, it's an element that Oda has mastered and easily proved during the war by constantly raising the unraisable standard put upon by his own writing.
Right now.. holy $#%$ I read this chapter, and I have a smile on my face. I love this new idea, and it's not about the idea itself, it's about the excitement I get from reading them talk about the idea.
Bakuman has the potential to reach One Piece's standard, the writer is brilliant, and the artist is fantastic in setting the mood. Please sign a contract for an anime, this manga is ready, it's just eclipsed without any signs of it falling in quality.
i like bakuman, but that's giving it too much credit, i think. bakuman has had way more lulls than one piece has ever had since the start of the arlong arc, i think–and it's oda's first series!
anyway, pretty good chapter. miyoshi scratching her ass was pretty cute/funny. @robby, just write the series if you want. it isn't the main concept of bakuman, anyway. it'd be different if that idea had been done as an actual manga before, but it hasn't. so, it should be fine if you still want to do it.
i thought the "one piece" thing was an intentional play on words..? this IS a series about shonen jump manga.
