@Cymelion:
Seriously.
Do you half read things - read the first line I wrote Fezzik.
The MAJORITY of everything Luffy had done prior to the exposition about haki was/can/has been attributed to his strength, his ingenuity and his techniques.
The point I am saying is writting off(saying it never happened) Luffy as having tapped into his own Dormant Haki at times is as bad as saying he used it for every battle.
I am saying that arguing about battles he performed and then bringing up a list of moments saying this was Haki for sure is pointless and probably only going to cause arguments to continue ad nauseum.
I am positive that should Haki have been intended from the beginning then there will be moments in the earlier comics Luffy would have tapped into it. Which moments and the severity of his usage I would only speculate on if the debate was to be taken seriously and I would need to re-read the series with the knowledge I now have.
…..
Ah yes I will probably need this
TL:DR
No Luffy didn't tap into Haki for the majority of the Manga but some scenes may be representations of Haki with the knowledge we now have.
No I don't half read things
This is what you wrote isn't it:
There is a point where Nami is re-assuring someone that when Luffy is rescuing someone his strength knows no limits but for the life of me I can't remember where that was in the manga. I believe that is the indication that he has been shown tapping into Haki without knowing it, I mean the time he pushed apart 2 buildings alone is a good example.
When haki has been shown it has been hinted as haki.
where did you get this notion of haki being a dormant abilty in ALL. Cnet's translation:
Doctor: The power known as "Haki"… this is quite clearly one of its manifestations. // It must have awakened as a result of the shock you experienced on the battlefield... / Ordinarily, the ability can only be brought out by lengthy periods of training...
Coby: Haki......?! This is...?!
Doctor: All Marines of Vice-Admiral class and above are able to make use of this ability.
By your logic everyone could have it with 'lengthy periods of training'
Ah yes, you definitely need to word things better and read your own shit.:getlost:
