There's actually quite a few posts in that thread discussing it. And it goes with what I said about while it ight be a multi-hit techniques (like plenty of moves in the manga), Asura itslef (which is not the actual move) isn't.
Though it seems most people that are trying to say it physical are the ones trying to vindicate their hate of the move.
These pages pretty much qualm the argument that the arms are merely manifestations or at least the talk claim that the were said to be. The trans just calls it an overwhelming spirit, it speaks nothing of it being physical or not.

The Kumabot is going to stand next chapter and then Brook will resheath his sword. After that the Kumabot will explode from the massive damage Brook dealt to it with his earlier move. Everyone's attack after his was useless. Brook only ran away for the lulz. He's really EPIC WIN but doesn't want to overshadow the established badasses of the crew.

Basically this entire arc has been exciting for me.
Interesting. I don't fully understand it, but interesting. Personally, seeing all these major techniques and a good Pacifista bashing was enough for me. Seeing the remaining SN's get taken down by Kizaru was pretty enjoyable too!
Here's how the Kuma fight will end:
The guy gets up from the crater, bleeding and hurt, he's pissed and about done.
Then Ussop takes out a 10 ton hammer and goes in to finish him. Kuma passes out after seeing that hammer.
Everyone's got a super cool finishing super attack, and the Hammer is Ussop's.

The impact visuals we see are usually just to give us the notion of where and how many times he was hit. Unless you suggest that Chopper is able to dent this Pacifista where both Zoro and Sanji failed to scratch the other? So in terms of everyone contributing, Brooke tore a hole in his clothes! There, contribution

This chapter once and for all will end all of the Aokiji is the strongest nonsense. Apuu says that Kizaru is called 海軍本部最高戦力 (a wording that was formerly used only for Aokiji), so now Kizaru and Aokiji are known as "Marine Headquarters Greatest War Potential". So it proves what alot of us have been saying for awhile. That all of the Admirals are called by the same exact 'title' (or at least two of them are:getlost:).
And everyone can see Zoro's Asura. Brook says: What is that?!, and Chopper say: Zoro multiplied!

Because it's the lamest move in the whole of One Piece history. Not only did Zoro previously give a big speech about how more arms aren't equal to more strength. It's also cheap and unexplainable. There is not a single other person in One Piece that has a tangible aura and if another appeared it's just be lame. It's a cheap version of Moria's doppelgänger. Honestly, it almost made me puke when he used it at Enies Lobby but to resurrect it, that's fucking disgusting. I'm actually appalled with Oda.
He moves his arms super-fast to strike an opponent 9 times in an instant. It just seems like a super-natural version of one of Kenshin's moves. The one that strikes all vitals at once. Maybe you shouldn't have assumed Zoro actually grew two extra sets of arms.

Well I just see no point in having the extra arms if they aren't being used. If he was slashing nine times he would just do that and he has before, that is what makes me believe that those extra appendages are not just images.
We'll be able to tell when he uses it on an opponents and blocks their attacks, that should give us clarity.

Well, it doesn't just effect the enemies. Chopper says that Zoro is multiplying.
