So I was thinking about where that possibly could have come from if anywhere at all and as it turns out in the 1980's there was a animation (a quite popular one) called Muteking. (The joke being on muteki) and the theme song even has the long absurd extensions. Here he is folks, Muteking in all his 80's glory.

Well he is muteking ^o^ I dunno, I found a huge summary page about the show but didn't read about him. It came up with a Google image search so have fun. I doubt any of his [sogeking's] attributes come from this though.
does sogeki mean anything? or is it just soge for sniping?
well, it is highly possible that Oda thought about that muteking when he created sogeking.

Damn, he's going far back. I've figured it out. Eichiro Oda is insane. One Piece came about from a drug trip, there's no other explanation possible.
