Judging by what Drake said/thought, it is likely that the lasers were powered by Kizaru.

I still feel a bit dissapointed Oda still hasn't named any of these DF, but it just gets wilder: Drake turns into a dinosaur? Hawkins is a straw man? Apoo can turn himself into instruments!? My only problem: Kizaru is just owning them too easily! (which could be a good thing too)
Edit: Oh and with the talk of "Kizaru's lasers", I think that closes in on his DF ability.
Ahahaha! Lots of powers revealed! Most interesting is Apoo's…it seems whatever sound-effect he calls, the target within range of the sound gets effected by same sound, only physical!
Example: "Shan"(斬=zan=decapitation or slash) created a "shan" sound effect when Kizaru's arm is cut, and "Don"(爆=baku=bomb or exclamation) made a "don" sound effect when the explosion occurred. Oda is taking advantage of the various written sound effects often portrayed in manga and turning into attacks! That is extremely original and pure genius!

Of course he's owning them. He's a fucking admiral. How would you expect them to do against Shanks or Mihawk? This action is great; it keeps the admiral hype intact while still letting the supernovas show they've got the stuff to deserve their bounties.

Losing an arm is not a big problem for a Logia user…they can grow it back easily, unless they are limited by Kairoseki or the Sea. Remember Crocodile, when Vivi blew his head off with her attack, and Aokiji when Robin broke him in half? If any thing, Apoo's attacks were an attempt to distract him so he wouldn't kill Hawkins.

I know but somehow I didn't expect 4 captains to be as stomped as we see them currently from just one admiral. The SH vs. Aokiji prior to their new abilities is one thing, but I just felt surprised we get four captain levels, all supernovas, getting torn apart at the same time.
In the defense of the nova, it is technically 2 on 4 whereas 2=8.

It's mostly just Oda hype anyway but somehow he seems to show only characters of "admiral" class (or a powerful Vice-Admiral like Garp) has the power in the WG to take on the most powerful of pirates. We really don't get too much else below those levels.

Oda, will you stop reminding me of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure! (Not a bad thing, though.) Scratchman's powers are alot like Koichi's "Echos: Act 1", where his Stand attacked with sound effects. It's definetely in the top 3 of the best Devil Fruits we've seen this arc, with Capone and Law's powers somewhere on there, too.

Can it be that the world think Kuma is "the only one of the shichibukai who actually listens to what the government says" because of his clones? That would explain why he didn't listens to the WG at TB. Actually he doesn't give a shit to the WG orders like the other shichibukai, but his clones do.

Dunno, maybe pacifistas are the normal marines in the new world, like normal marines are cannon fodder in GL. So all of the SN need to get a lot stronger...
Every time I see Apoo since his apperance in the spoiler of 509 he gets a higher rank in my favorite characters... I do think he is just playing with kizaru, as he already announced to make the admiral mad before leaving. (http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/507/17/). So Kizau is for sure not defeated. I have no clue about his hand beeing cut off, IF kizaru is logia, what I do not think, this would be no problem, but if he is paramecia then his hand is cut off, like really cut off, and he truly is going to get the pwnation of his life
I think next week will be only Law and Kidd as well as no kizaru.
EDIT: about Drake`s DF: ancient Zoan Types, only 5 flying types of zoan, somehow I think that zoans are not as bad as I believe. What about a virus zoan or future-animal-types, or alien types brought by the space pirates? I need to visit the dump prediction thread
