Ugh don't feel like watching all those, can I just have the gist plz?
-
I don't get it, only thing that did interest me was
! change the past
the rest was OK, but still the whole botching of the tape was so messed up he only had a few stuff that were pretty important. So what sounded a helluva lot like Faraday's voice at the end didn't do anything for you huh?
-
Faraday's voice was at the end of the vid? The audio was too messed up I could barely hear anything.
-
At first, the movie kinda seemed very silly, and I didn't give it much credit, but after rewatching it, it seemed rather interesting and gave us some clues. But well, nothing we didn't know yet.
But that didn't really sound like Faraday. It was too messed up and there was a lack of "Faraday-ish squeal" in the voice. He kinda has some kind of squeal in his voice… g -
I'm not sure if I want to watch any interviews or teasers since I don't want any details about the new season, I want to go in with no prior knowledge.
I'm eagerly anticipating season 5 though, and I'm excited at the prospect of Daniel playing a more major role, he and Ben were the big highlights of season 4 for me.
-
Yeah, it definitely sounds like Faraday to me, and I'm not the only one who thinks so it seems.

Plus, I'm excited about the prospect of just who that baby might be

Plus, I'm excited about the prospect of just who that baby might be
WHOA!! It didn't even come to mind, that it could be somebody we KNEW or even some hint at something… To me it was just a baby! But now that you mention it... Oh GOD!!
Since we're now OFFICIALLY dealing with time-travel and stuff (and an possible Faraday-timetraveller-thing at some point, if that's him talking) it could be ANYBODY!But GREAT thing, you've turned that baby-notion upsidedown!!

Presenting one of the reasons I have not considered purchasing a LOST season collection yet:
When that title changes to: Seasons 1-6: LOST in Your Own Collection Super Special Nano Mega Blu-Ray Edition, I will gladly pour forth the fruit which grows in my wallet like so much high school cheerleader with daddy issues.
-
^^
First off, that says DVD, not Bluray.Second, it's encoded in PAL. It isn't necessarily going to be released in the US.
-
Yeppers! Which is why I said
When that title changes to: Seasons 1-6: LOST in Your Own Collection Super Special Nano Mega Blu-Ray Edition
ie. a box set down the line. This is the first 'official' boxset I've seen of the series and you know when all is said and done they're going to have some masturbatory release just waiting in the ranks.
-
^^^
HAHA, I totally read that as :"What that translates to:"
Anyways, I don't think that Season 1 was in HD. I have Direct TV with HD and I know Season 2 was. but I don't know about Season 1. Was it? If not, well I'll just not worry about it. I already have Season 1-2 and I'll get the Blu-ray of 3-4 in Decemeber.
-
I believe even if it wasn't shot in HD, they can do a transfer and even though you won't be able to count the number of hairs on Jack's elbow, the colors should look sweeeeeet.
I'm so pumped for 5. Seriously. Speaking of which, some preliminary 'Let's get the people MOVIN' ' promos should be coming out shortly since they're well into filming.
And is the new ARG pissing anyone off as much as me? I personally just enjoy reading the summaries on LOSTpedia but this round seems to be less actual on-goings and purely fetch-quest bull.
-
Fuck HD….is something that does not amount to 16 chars but have been wanting to say it quite a lot of times.
-
I so would .
-
Forgive me, but what is ARG?
-
Season 1, was good.
Season 2, was better.
Season 3, was alright. had some really good moments.
Season 4, i blame the writers strike.
Season 5, at this point i dont even give a shit anymore. -
Forgive me, but what is ARG?
Alternate Reality Game.
-
Season 1, was good.
Season 2, was better.
Season 3, was alright. had some really good moments.
Season 4, i blame the writers strike.
Season 5, at this point i dont even give a shit anymore. For me, nothing can beat Season 1.
I think that Season 3 was better than 2, but I really like the Season finale of two. 4 was meh.
-
4 had some fantabulous moments. 4 also had some very weak moments. Bound to happen when you open your story up to a broader scale.
However, there's simply no way any other show on television that I can even think of touches LOST even at its Nik…I mean worst.
-
What about The Dead Zone?
Best part of Season 4 IMO was Desmond. -
I don't think anything has topped the season 2 finale in my mind, though as a whole I enjoyed season 3 more than 2.
I'd rank them as follows:
3
2
4
1The best part of season 4 for me was Ben. In fact, I think he's pretty much the best part of the show in general.
-
Ben is badass.
To quote a friend who posts that in comment to ANY episode where Ben is…badass. -
Yeah, I felt that season 4 had some very weak moments to it. There wasn't as much mindfuck as the previous seasons. But, it still had some great moments, especially with Ben. Plus, the four Freighties on the island were awesome. I'm still trying to figure out who I like most out of them. It's a toss-up between Faraday, Miles, and Lapidus.
-
Somebody post that image of Ben pushing the wheel of the time with the golden text, that was one epic image.
-

oh boy
-
speechless .
edit:
on second thought FUCK THAT
Did you see it?
DID YOU FUCKING SEE IT!!!???? THE PLANE!? DID YOU SEE THE PLANE!!!???
Did you see him?
DID YOU FUCKING SEE HIM!!!!!????? THE MAN!!!! THE MAN IN THE SUIT FROM THE HATCH!!!!!! ARE YOU GOD-FUCKING-DAMN-KIDDING ME!!!??????
1:04!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DANIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL
This is the greatest television show ever conceived by humankind.
"The LOST writers are (pardon the pun) lost. GUFAWHAWHAWHAW"
HAH!!!!!!
-
OH MAN!
Why did I have to watch that fucking promo? 2009? Too many months away. Greg will you hold me until then? It is just going to be awesome.
-
I promised myself that I wouldn't watch or read any spoilers for the fifth season. But, oh well, it's too late for that now.
Now, I'm almost 100 percent positive that Darlton is gonna give us a mindfuck so unforgettable that my head just might explode by how fucking awesome it is. I'll admit that I already feel a bit mindfucked right now.
-
Only if you hold me just as tight.
This is insane. This is FUCKING INSANE. They're going to deal with the hatch. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!???? The plane!!!???? WHAT THE HELL!!!??? They already extablished that the future cannot be changed due to course correction, so what the SHIT does that mean for the plane!!?? WHAT DOES IT MEAN!? TELL ME! I'm literally shaking in my chair at work. This is amazing.
Something tells me that every episode of this season is going to leave me speechless.
-
While I'm not as fangasmic as Greg, I'm still beyond pumped. I still get the feeling that I'm gonna be all jittery every minute of this season, though.
-
-
Yes indeed. Yes indeed.
-
Haha, I broke my creed of not looking at promos pre-airing and now I'm pretty psyched.
It's been one hell of a ride following the wacky mysteries, but it'll be pretty awesome when they finally tie up the loose ends.
I'm hoping for at least some info on Jacob and Christian this season, the whole cabin deal was easily the most intriguing part of season 4 in my mind, though MOVING ISLAND is up there too.
-
If they don't reveal what the island is by the end of Season 5, Season 6 is gonna feel really rushed.
A lot of plot lines have to be solved with Season 5, with Season 6 concluding everything.
-
This preview is the proof that they can/will do it.
Just look at the hatch scene. That RIGHT THERE tells you they're going to address Radizynkisies (whatever his name was) as well as the blast door map. If they're going to tie up that nerdy fanboy stuff that probably me and one other guy care about, I can only imagine the rest of the details they'll cover.
But you have to admit, Jacob seems like their last BIG mystery and I doubt they'll address him/it directly this season. Possible? Yes, but I dunno. If we cover that, what's left besides the small stuff? Statues and whatnot.
-
My guesses are season 5 we'll find out what the Island is. Season 6 we'll find out what the Island's inhabitants are, etc.
Season 5 = What you can see from the outside
Season 6 = What you can see from the insideMeaning Season 5 will probably reveal the rest of the Dharma Initiative plans and what not. Season 6 will reveal the deeper things like Jacob and THE FOOT ON THE BEACH
I think I need to rewatch season 1 thru 4 before season 5 airs. It'll be a long winter break anyways.
-
Foot on the beach is a done deal I think. Kinda like the Jack/Claire relationship, we've had BIG hints, but no one has come out in the open yet.
This is not a direct spoiler but if you haven't followed Comic Con or theorized about a certain character:
! They question how many toes 'ancients' like Richard might have
-
I'm confused, maybe this is why the promo didn't excite me..
They need to explain the black smoke as well.I guess I don't read enough spoilers/theories to retain all the stuff you guys are talking about. There should be a Lost for Dummies book
-
Hurley W/gun!!!!!
-
I guess I don't read enough spoilers/theories to retain all the stuff you guys are talking about. There should be a Lost for Dummies book
Agreed.
I turned my parents into LOST fans….erm....actually the opposite... In summer 2005 they suggested watching summer reruns of Season 1 after we just got Tivo and I figured I'd watch with them to kill time.
....
............
HAH!
Anyway, they're pretty awesome in that they probably know more than the average 60-year olds about LOST but still, when I talk about the small stuff, they have NO CLUE what I'm talking about until I describe it in detail which usually evokes an, "Oh yeeeeeah...how the hell did you remember that?"
LOST is about the closest anything from the US could get to my obsession with OP. I have seen Season 1 fully through more than 20 times. And before your jaw hits the floor and you declare me loser, that's because I use LOST in my English classes at school when we have extra lessons (or when I don't feel like working). I've watched the show so many times that I've picked up on stupid INSIGNIFICANT details that I won't even bother you with, but they're little things that show how much the writers care about every detail in the show. This is why it's a shame when they do make major fuck-ups, and believe me, they do.
Anyway, long story short, I have reason to be excited because I've retained a shitload of useless information. That scene of the hazmat suit and the possibilities it offers just blows my mind. Not to mention the small plane. I mean you don't know. YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW! No seriously, I know I am highly biased but be fully aware folks.
And this is honest to God truth.
I was going to post today about how the long wait had totally drained me of excitement for the series. It being over the so-called climax (Oceanic 6) of the series and now working towards the conclusion, the long, long wait had indeed dwindled my interest.
Then today THAT comes out and includes scenes that just blow my fucking mind.
And people think Jack and Claire being related is a strange coincidence...
WHAT IN THE FUCK WAS I TALKING ABOUT!!!????
Oh right, Lost for Dummies is a must so moderate fans can have as high blood pressure as me from a stupid preview.
-
Hahaha, nice, even in class. Lost could sue you though.
Funny coincidence, I'm watching Party of Five, and Fox had a totally Jack face right there.. he's really not that ranged of an actor is he? Kind of a type-caster.
-
WOHOOOOOO!! OH GOD!! I was JUST WONDERING YESTERDAY, when the S05 Promo would show up… Freaking SWEEEET!!
Now, just to clear things up...
Greg, what is it with you and the plane? XD Are you talking about the Banana-Water-plane, we see crashing down?
And the yellow-jumpsuit-guy is most probably Radzinsky, or however he's spelled.
But who's white-shirt-guy? Doesn't really look like Kelvin Inman to me. But it's definitely the hidden-hatch-entrance/exit, we are seeing there. And to talk shortly about the Stonefoot, mentioned afore...
During season 03 Darlton said, the foot will make a large appearance in S04, but well, due to the Strike, it was postponed to Season 05. So we'll definitely see it there, and hopefully get to know, what it's all about. But the comic-con-question with Richard in connection with the statue was just a joke, for me at least. Well, I don't think the statue has something to do with Richard IN PARTICULAR; that's what I wanted to point out.
-
Greg, what is it with you and the plane? XD Are you talking about the Banana-Water-plane, we see crashing down?
YES!!!!!!!!!!
If they go back and fuck up the plane crash site, then HOW IN THE SHIT can Boone die? Okay, so he doesn't die in the plane. Does that mean the plane remains unfound? If so then does Charlie not find the drugs and get into a fight with Locke? If he doesn't get in a fight with Locke does that mean he never takes Sun which means Sawyer never gets the guns etc. etc.
In other words, yes, there's course correction, but to what cost elsewhere??????
AAAAAAAAH! That is amazing. I love this show.
-
Wait what? How can they time travel? (Desmond?)
Greg you're confusing me, and you're overly excited with your lost-sugar-rush.
Would you please be so kind (why am I begging, I know you love to talk about this) as to put in spoiler tags the entire plane/fixing the site/changing history stuff, because like i said.. lost for dummies, get working on it! (It would be big money =p)
-
How can they time travel?
!
And this is officially released material so it's not a spoiler but listen to the voice at the end of this film and tell me if it sounds familliar.
As for the course correction deal, that's thanks to some helpful hints from Ms. Hawking back in Season 3, http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Ms._Hawking
BTW I'll eat my foot if she isn't back before the end of the show.
-
Hurley had better shoot something or somebody in Season 5….and not just for food.
Oh and I want to see more regarding the four-toed people already!
EDIT: Oh and notice how they spent 108 days on the island?
-
^
You'd better not piss off a hungry Hurley with a gun. Here's hoping that Desmond plays a part in going back to the island, too. He's just too awesome of a character to be left in the dust.
