What these indeces indicate is a show's ratings relative to Toonami's average ratings. One Piece's premiere was 140% of Toonami's average ratings for the night. So far, it's pulling about 120% of the ratings, which I think is a pretty comfortable position. I do worry if One Piece ever goes below a 1 for an extended period of time, though. It's not in any real danger of that yet, but it will not bode well for the show if its index goes sub-1 while being in the first half of the block. If it stays somewhere around 1.1, we should be more than okay but of course we want better relative ratings than that.

Tying a ratings high on a weaker night for Toonami = 1.3 on the index. One Piece continues to rise dramatically and though this week might be an anomaly, the trend is still moving UP UP UP.

One Piece is doing incredibly well for the block and should continue to do so. It may begin to trend downward, but with it pulling 130% of the block average twice in three weeks, it has a long way to fall before it falls into danger.

I want to do some archivial data involving past 1 am shows to see how OP is performing compared to Soul Eater, Casshern Sins and whatever else populated the timeslot over the prior 49 weeks. That'll come later, but for now, enjoy the pretty sweet numbers.

Something funny. I've recorded the episodes from TV on my DVR, and looking at them…........... They have Skypiea episode names and descriptions. Like, the Dodgeball Episode was listed as "Take to the Sky! Ride the Knock-up Stream!" and the one from last night was called "Ride the White Sea: The Sky Knight and the Gate in the Clouds".

Last night of the ten-week lineup we've had and One Piece officially takes the top spot for the first time since premiere week. Not to mention this is a filler episode AND the best index rating since premiere. It might be assuming to much to say One Piece will DESTROY the ratings once we get to Water 7, but it's certainly possible that One Piece will soon be consistently winning the night here in a few months.

The next arc is Ocean's Dream, which will probably keep good ratings despite being filler, because most casual viewers will see this arc as a good catch up on who the characters are.

Tiny ones but they don't take up all of the episodes (some in 1-2 eps at most if I remember). And there are some that technically are not flashbacks.

Another week above a million is nice. The plunge in index has more to do with a growing Toonami, however, as Sword Art Online has yet to pull under an 840k, a threshold rarely cracked by a 2.00a show. I'd say this still has One Piece doing well, despite the index decrease. A 1.2 is nothing to scoff at.

Hopefully we'll be able to keep a good consistence with the upcoming filler arcs too. I think the new viewers should be ok with the Ocean Dream and the Foxy returns arcs. At least they aren't as stretched out as the warship island arc was.

One Piece hits ratings highs, but it's a bit shy of Index highs thanks to the super strong night for Toonami. But, again, 1.27 is NOTHING to scoff at. One Piece continues to dominate.
