You can either download it, or pay $25 for the entire Adobe Premiere Pro Creative Suite, which includes about 15 Adobe Software, from www.google.com/products

I use Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 and I highly recommend that (for the record, Platinum is worse than Pro).

Use Pinnacle Ultimate Studio 12. Its SUPER EASY yet has all the advanced features too. $111 on Amazon, not bad, because it comes with the basic software, three other softwares that are really expensive for practically free, and a bunch of extra effects discs (not to mention a green screen). But yeah, its easy to use.

OS X has some pretty sweet programs, even the one that comes included with every new mac. They are, like OS X, far superior to their windows variants.
