Naruto failing at first is not an issue at first. In most fights, people fail and counter each other.
If this is true, I dont like the script. Kakashi and Yamato are being stupid. Naruto is being stupid. There is no point in just having naruto fight alone after he messed up. They just need to kill this guy and get it over with. And Yamato saying the same thing again, is just like BLAH.
INo is the voice of reason and I thought Kakashi was drained. How is he doing another Chidori? And why couldnt he use that to get himself out of the tentalcles? This seems fake or just flawed. I dont mind Naruto failing, he will overcome it like he always does.

I think Kishie if this spoiler is true, wants his main character not to be loot. He likes the clumsy, make a mistake main character. Which is fine by me, Main characters dont need to be powerhouses. Naruto would get there one day, but he is what he is.

It's not that I don't think that he should automatically be a badass, but he should develop from a loser to a better person than just interactions with other people. Having him clumsy forever would just screw Konoha when inevitably becomes Hokage.

You mean IF he does… Apparently a lot of fans think Naruto will be offered the position and refuse it and he'll go off and be a hermit like Jiraiya. Because he believes he already has what he wants so he doesn't need the Hokage title anymore.

It's not about the badass/loser stuff as apparently he's going to keep on fighting alone and will eventually use his new jutsu properly. It's just that the chapter is worthless. It ends exactly like chapter 338, with Yamato repeating his line, taking away all the buildup. It's just staaaallllllllliiiiiiiiiinggggggg. Get to the point already Kishimoto you uninspired twonk.

A better way to make Naruto seem like a powerful idiot would be to let the jutsu miss, but do huge collateral damage to the surrounding area.
The bystanders could comment on his awesome power while joking about Naruto's bad aim at the same time. It'd be a win win situation.

Your right Impel Down thats why i like the preskip more because it has more humor the Timeskip has a few Funny things like when Sai call Sakura a Hag, when Kakuzu said that his more powerful than Hidan,anything with Tobi,The Ramen shop,Naruto did a few Face Faults in his trainning. The only thing that the Naruto Timeskip needs to impove is the Humor

I just cannot see the point of what Kishi did. If Naruto does manage to hit Kakuzu next chapter, this chapter ruined any cool factor for me. He should've had Naruto zipping across the panels, amazing the readers this chapter.
Not, OMG NARUTOS STILL THE SAME OLD GUY BUT HE CAN USE TEH WIND NOW. God. And the thing is, I'll still keep reading Naruto, but I'll complain about it.

Even when Naruto defeats Kakuzu (we know he will eventually), it's not going to be the same after this chapter. The fact that he had to get saved by Kakashi and Yamato and given a second chance completely ruins what should have been a perfect victory for Naruto.

Naruto was just going to die at the hands of kakuzu, his "I have to do it on my own" is nothing more than big talk now. And Yamato and Kakashi, driving Kakuzu away like that and sending Naruto in again cheapens Kakuzu much too much. Kakuzu has been downgraded to a mere sparing partner for chunins.…he looks very cool though

I stopped reading Naruto when he went 4 tails to fight Orochimaru. It pissed me off that Kishimoto kept making Naruto use to Kyubi, instead of showing his real skills ( 2.5 years of training and I still saw no result). Now I hear 'Naruto is fighting by himself, without kyubi, without help' and I am pleased, thinking 'Finally!' andnow we get THIS CRAP!!! Kishimoto is smoking something and not the good kind. I never expetected his new jutsu to hit b'cos it would end the fight too quickly, but THIS! I am really disappointed. Then there's the 'That's our naruto' line which I imagine that guy from I love Lucy saying. I know what Kishimoto's trying to do, but he did not need to make Naruto look like a fool who needed to be saved. And why the hell did he show that bastard Sasuke? Truly disappointing.

So far, Future Sasuke hasn't been all that impressive, really. Plus, when he looked at Sai, he casted Genjutsu, showing he becoming just a weaker Itachi.

You know, with next week being a Naruto cover, I think maybe Kishimoto wanted to hold off until then to do something to Kakuzu. But still…this was a disgrace. Heck, he even just used it like a normal Rasengan and it did zip and they still trust him!? Heh...if Kishimoto wrote for Naruto like he did for the "less important characters" (see Shika owning Hidan), maybe he wouldn't be so hopeless.

Naruto the manga is an horrible nightmarish version of One Piece where all the wacky humour and adventure would have been replaced by angst and stalling filler chapters and where Usopp would be the main character whose only purpose is to rescue Zoro stripped from the few funny aspects of his personality.

I just want Kishimoto to grow out of this stupid pattern of 'Mess up first, then show good skills.' Honestly, it's a little tiring. I guess there's no use crying over spilt milk, but he should step up and do some good stuff. I mean, since part two started, Naruto has not done anyting worth noting. Who cares about Oodama rasengan? Show some better jutsu!

Does Kishi hate the fans or something?
I know the man is capable of some good shit, watching Part 1 all day yesterday proved that to me. But for some reason, he had momentum going, and just fucking threw it away. Why a guy who has an obvious talent would do something like that, I don't know.
Damnit Kishi c'mon, you say Oda is your role model, then take some notes from him, get some tips. Nothing wrong with asking for a bit of help.

The last line was, well you still didnt see the jutsu yet. Than Kakashi said, well i guess its decided than. lol. Why are they acting so wacky? It seems weird.
This was suppose to be a comedy chapter, but he kind of failed to pull it off. Though, Kakashi and Yamato were funny at the end. It is just funny how Kakashi personality changed when back up arrived. He is not worried at all now. He acting like a teenager with his buddy tenzou.
