I didn't know Aokiji was based off of an actor too, but Aokiji is at least much more in line with OP style than Kizaru.

I'm glad this was brought up. I had asked about it in the discussion about Kizaru, but I was kinda ignored. I really like that he put these actors into the story. I hope we get more before "One Piece" is through.

In fact someone should make a thread solely for all three Admirals and their actors, since people either overlook or dont read about who inspired their appearance.

However, I wish people would just quit it with this "in B4 lock" rubbish.
Tizoc noticed something and thought that it would be a good idea to inform others and gather their opinions.
We all can't be expected to rummage through chapter discussions etc, etc. that are usually full of pointless arguements and groundless speculations, that make you just not want to read on. So obviously it will lead to people missing some of the things that were already mentioned in there. -

I think it would be a smart idea to compose a sticky of all the known instances where Oda uses a real person for reference in "One Piece". I remember a long time ago there was a thread about this subject, and it was pretty awesome. It had the fashion model that Pauly was based on among countless others. Those kind of threads always make an interesting read. It would be a neat idea. I wonder if that thread still exists?
