Dwarf Fortress is for those who thinks games with fancy (or any) graphics are for big pussies. It's apparently a big among those who dig indie video games. I have been playing it on and off. It's pretty hard to get into but once you do it's quite addictive and it has lots of "depth". Personally, I like it for the music - the one track it has.
There are two modes you can play, another one is an adventure mode and another is a fortress building mode. I have been mainly playing the latter.
