I know there is a topic that I created like this but I want to start a fresh one. Is Water 7 arc finished or it's still contiuned? They offically left Water 7 so I wonder if this called Aeneas Lobby arc?

definitely the same arc, just call it shipwrights arc.
-
It's still part of Water Seven, just like Nanohana and Alubarna were both in the Alabasta Arc.
-
LOL. Like Günther I call it the Shipwright arc too when it comes to these discussion. Either that or the CP9 arc.
Besides as I said in another thread I think that they´ll return to Water 7 at the end of the entire arc because it isn´t One Piece style to leave like that. The Morgan, Buggy, Kuro, Krieg, Arlong, Drum, Alabasta, Jaya, Skypiea and Longring Longland arcs all had a good bye scene. It actually is one of this story´s signature. And since we didn´t have such a scene I´m sure that they´ll get back. Besides all their stuff resides on one of Water 7´s hotel´s.
-
I don't go into names, because every arc has like, a million important characters. This arc has CP9, Galley-La, Franky, Usopp, Robin, and if Pauly joins, him too.
And another reason why arc isn't determined by location: when they go back to Water Seven, would it count as another arc?
-
I'm thinking they'll need to come back to Water 7 too. The log pose doesn't seem to be with Nami during the past few chapters, plus it's supposed to take a week(?) to set. Really hasn't seemed like a week has passed in Water 7 since they've gotten there.
-
I think we'll be seeing an Eneas Lobby arc, and theres no way I would count Eneas Lobby as part of Water7.
But this train stuff…. I'll still call it Water7.
But yhea, if they arrive at Eneas, then Water7 ends.
-
theres no law that a arc must end after they leave an island.
-
Theres no law saying I can't classify them that way either.
-
a arc ends after the strawhats have beaten the all enemies in it and say good bye to the good guys but cp9 is still fresh and tilestone, lulu and all the others are still around.
-
After they enter the Grand Line, a major Arc is usually named after the Island. A side Arc like the DBF is named after the most important event, since the Long Ring island itself is not as important as the DBF.
Note the word "usually".
It matters not what an Arc is named, but the majority calls it W7. There is no fixed law that states when an Arc ends, and it is silly to rename the Arc when we perfectly know that the story hasn't ended. Figure it out on your own; if OP is so rigid that there's a law that states when an Arc ends, it'll be very repetitive.
Personally, I don't mind if they leave W7. In the end, it's the location of the StrawHats that matter.

thats what i wanted to say, i just didnt found the right words. -
i dun think it ended yet since its juz halfway through. as what changsho say, arcs in the grand line all depends on the major island they are in. Since its still somewhere near water 7 and is still connected with W7 characters. Thus, it is still the W7 arc

Who names these arcs? Isn't it just us who distinguish "arcs" - or is there some official declaration?

Seeing as how Water 7 is pretty different in it's tone from the other arcs, i don't think the Straw Hats will have to go back for the happy-farewell scene (even though they're always funny).
I wouldn't be surprised if the Straw Hats simply says farewell to the Franky family and Gallay-la staff after finishing Eneas lobby or whatever place they wind up.The only problem with this would be lack of transportation, and I really can't see the Straw hats steal a random ship.
-
Discussing about arcs (although in the case of One Piece "adventures" would be more fitting word) is a nice tool to help in comprehending the plot and it's quite practical whenever refering specific point of the story. I really don't think that it goes vain or at least it's altogether with the same level of profit with all fan based discussions alike - which profits are anyway pretty much as big as zero, null, nada or whatever.
Anyway, about the question. If you ask me, Water 7 is still going on. The plotline hasn't changed, the characters hasn't changed and the enviroment hasn't changed. It's still pretty much the same.
Edit:
Seeing as how Water 7 is pretty different in it's tone from the other arcs, i don't think the Straw Hats will have to go back for the happy-farewell scene (even though they're always funny).
Could be but it's not the first time the series is a same kind of situation. For example after Alabasta the series could had turned into much more serious but it didn't.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Straw Hats simply says farewell to the Franky family and Gallay-la staff after finishing Eneas lobby or whatever place they wind up.
I'm waiting them to dump them up with a chance they will get. I think it will hurt Oda to have such a large cast for too long time.

For me the water seven arc is finished , what we are seeing now is a transition to the eneas lobby arc ( and the PT really does a transition 'cause it's a train which is bringing us to the next arc  !) ,it's like the jaya arc which was making a link between the alabasta arc and the skypea arc .
I don't agree with the idea of eneas lobby as a part of water 7 arc like alubarna was for alabasta because alubarna was still on the alabasta island but eneas lobby is a totally different place from water seven (do you think that a place where you are obliged to pass through the gate of justice to reach impel down or the marine HQ have something to do with water 7 ?).
If it's the same arc ( and i really doubt of it ) than it's not the water 7 arc but the cp9 or the governement arc, if it's in that case then i agree .
-
they will go back to W7. they didn't bring any of their personal stuff from the GM (nami's tangerine trees, etc.).
ooshi78
edit: it's not even determined that they will go to eneas lobby… just cause a island is mentioned doesn't mean that they'll go there.
-
didn't the GM sink? and i thought they removed all their belongings after the usopp battle?

yeah, but it's not on the rocket man. it's somewhere on W7

Yeah, it's not even carved into a stone yet. They could go back by easy, although I don't believe so - it's really not the style of One Piece.

When alabasta, skypea , upperyard were only mentioned they finally get there .
Be logical , where do you think those 2 train are going ? Following the tracks there is only one destination : Eneas lobby. No doubt about it .
The real question is will they reach the puffing tom BEFORE it reach eneas lobby ?
Only God and Oda knows about that..... -

The distance between Nanohana to Alubarna and the distance between W7 and the lobby are about the same. So is it just water that seperates arcs? In that case, the shipyard and the attack on Ice's mansion were their own arcs.

Perhaps Oda just forgot.
_Maybe she went back to the hotel when she brought the meat for Luffy.

huh??!?! where does it say that??

Oh, it doesn't. Just thinking. IIRC, it took them 12 hours by foot to get to where they were going (which wasn't even the final destination in Alabasta). The train ride isn't over, but it can't take more than 2 hours like this, and it couldn't have been more than two hours since it departed.
-
Remember that iceberg is still in Water 7. Maybe his purpose there is to prepare the new ship.

12 hours at 3mph is 36 miles…
2 hours at 60mph is 120 miles...
i don't know how you can say they're the same distance... we also have no idea how long it takes to get from W7 to eneas lobby
ooshi78
-
Good point about the distance. I really didn't feel like doing math.
But the trip really can't be much more than 5 hours. Most of the time would be in before the RM's takeoff, since Sanji can't hold out for all that long.
-
i don't know how much time passed between the PT and RM's departure, but it didn't seem too long. maybe 30 min or a hour?

We never saw Merry sink. Their belongings are at the inn, except Usopp's stuff.
I think we're still in Water Seven Arc. Oda gotta write what will happen to Water Seven after all those mess ended! >_
For how many days it has passed… I think it was discussed in other thread. Three days or so? -
Actually I mentioned a while back that it seemed likely they weren't going back too. More than ever this arc seems to be set up to move straight along. But then someone pointed out the orange trees. Nami even specifically said they don't have everything with them. The possibility does exist of Ice having set such a task in motion though.
Now it's probably a decent guess that Merry isn't gone. What possibilities might exist? Well Merry's 'spirit' may guide the ship to them and save their asses one last time. Or, one must consider what effect AL had on Merry. It's true that no person could 'fix' Merry but what if an incredible force of nature could have have some effect on the ship such that a good deal of it remains salvageable.
We haven't seen the last of Merry.
