Lol yeah, Apoo's short statement finally made his character a bit three dimensional. Nice personality trait to get enjoyment out of this situation.

This chapter makes it more likely that Shanks knows where One Piece is, and what it actually is. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it also almost proves that the Will of D has a strong connection with the void century.
I was hoping to see more of Kidd & Law vs Kuma. But this chapter was once again amazing. This arc has been brilliant.

Wow… Kizaru has a distict personality when I read the English translation. He's reckless when he gets a tiny bit upset. His face is really priceless after he saw the damage he did.
Edit: Capone also seem to hint he has an ability that involves heavy weaponry of some sort. I could see how this arc may end up. We'll be seeing the rookies departing in the same place at the same time. It would be something.
Also, 3 Days is a long time in One Piece....

Great chapter. But… seriously, Kizaru's power is ridiculous, and I thought he was supposed to be weaker than Aokiji. Then again, Aokiji did freeze about a mile-long stretch of water, so...
And yeah, his design is too realistic for One Piece. In contrast with the cartoony characters, he looks kind of... well, ridiculous.
I kind of expected Oda to have Luffy refuse to hear about the treasure. What's an adventure if you know all about the treasure? Not an adventure, that's for sure. And Robin, too, I expected nothing less. Oda will reveal the secrets when he's ready.
Bonney's power is amusing, to say the least. As for Capone's, best guess is that he has an ability that hardens his skin like a tank (Playing off his crew's name, the Firetank Pirates). Or as a friend suggested, he could have the power to create clone images. Hawkins? Well, they call him the magician... maybe he's like Hexagon Shobiru, maybe?
My guess is that Sentoumaru and the Axe Guy are one in the same, but I'm not sure if he's the one standing in everyone's way. Probably, though. That foot doesn't look like Kuma's.

I know kizaru is based after taka…that japanese actor, but i somehow get the imagination of a bad 70's us crime show of him (much like starsky & hutch or the 'sabotage' video of the beastie boys), which is absolutely cool.

The french mafia(from Marseilles/corsica) from 1920 to 1940 in France, Italy and north africa specialised in prostitution,casinos, kidnapping,assasinates and sports events like boxing. They were know to be the firsts gangs heavily armored and with the best military weapons of their time.
Also the French connection established in south america and Usa (60's/70's) specialised in opium importation and transformation was wearing them to notice they weren't italians/sicilians

It was posted by someone else who thought it may have went with that initial spoiler. OP I'm sure has a lot of fake spoilers, it's merely a matter of posting the right one. And some people did comment on due to it being odd that it contradicted something in the last chapter.

---Am I the only one who sees the resemblance in Kizarus kick and Kumas beam ? Look at his foot before the blast, there is this X. The same thing apeared when Kuma used his beam in TB.

Yeah, with the exception of the 'circle' around Kuma's beams. Both the cross-shaped 'charge', some of the sound effects that go with it, and the explosion type are the exact same.

i found Kizaru's mannerisms to be a bit peculiar. I know this happens all the time in one piece (and is very refreshing), but his speech seemed a bit odd. perhaps it has a correlation with his DF ability?
Can't wait to see what Hawkings, Apoo, and Capone bring to the table. weither or not they are just fodder for Kizaru.

A pretty good chapter. I was somewhat disappointed by the end though. Himajin said he wasn't gonna post the end and that made me think something epic was gonna happen but he actually did post the end. Why'd he mess with us? Anyway, it was still a great chapter. I wonder what the SHs will do for 3 whole days? Didn't Thriller Bark happen in the course of 1 day/night? What's Oda gonna do?

I'm quite pleased with kizaru's design, i sooo hope the voice fits the way he looks. Pretty much the admirals shown to us, ao kiji and now kizaru have a sort of dopey look, it makes you think they arent that serious at all and you underestimate them. (this is purely looks, once you hear the name its sure to invoke fear lol.)
With kizaru's abiliy i'm leaning more towards a light based ability and hes a logia too, the only way a bullet could go through his head. In the scan the pirate clearly says "didnt i just hit him? It went straight through his head?!" or something close to that which means hes a logia user. Kind of explains his instant speed that has a pika sound effect, and i dont think soru has the same sound effect.
One thing i can say is i orginally throught all the admirals had logia abilities similar to their nick names, Ao kiji with his ice, the yellow would be a light logia, the red one has me confused though since ace already has the fire logia. I think the last admiral is gonna have some crazy ass ability. Omg i cant wait to see that nutty hat he wears, btw has anyone searched to try and find out the type it is?
btw does anyone else think 3 days is pretty long, if oda doesnt do skipping a few hours or days this is gonna be a battle filled arc for everyone, 3 days in OP world is almost as long as water 7 and longer then enies lobby i believe.

That part interested me most, too. My interpretation of her reaction is that she realizes the wisdom of what he is saying, and decides it's best to wait until she's ready – mentally, developmentally, experientially, etc -- for that information. Rayleigh seems to be implying: "Your crew couldn't handle that knowledge right now" or "Your crew wouldn't know what to do with that knowledge right now" or "Your crew wouldn't have the resources or allegiances necessary to do something about it now" or "Knowing it now would put your crew in too much danger, and would jeopardize your chances of getting there" -- or probably some combination of all of these, plus a few more that I haven't thought of.
Luffy really showin his worth as a Pirate. He doesn't wanna know if OP exists…its part of the excitement of not knowing...but settin off and finding.
Yes, for him, the journey is as important as the treasure at the end of it – maybe even moreso -- and that by skipping to the end, he'll miss all the excitement and anticipation and adventure that typically occurs in the middle. (heheheh -- kind of like what I said at the beginning of this post about spoilers, now that I think about it...)

I don't think of it as a tease, so much as I think of it as Oda's way of reminding us why the Mugiwara are traveling the Grand Line, and how much their motivations differ from the others who are doing the same.
It would have been more of a tease if on page 18, Usopp said "Is it really on the final island?" and then we skipped to the other things for several chapters, and then finally, about chapter 515 or so returned to Luffy saying: "Usopp, Nooo! We are not asking him!"

Many people have noted the Pika sound he makes, and whenever he moves, it looks like he becomes blurry or refracts (and I'm pretty sure it's not the quality of the scan). Plus, because the sun is yellow, people generally associate light with the color yellow, so it would fit him to have the Pika Pika no Mi.

When Luffy "stopped" Usopp! You could get what he was trying to say to him, but then he added...that he ll quit being a pirate if Silvers tells something, cause for him, then the journey would be boring.
Knowing, that there are tones of ppl ahead of them, who know loads of stuff, is it really all about knowing what one piece is....? What happens if some "bambus" from Marines, or some, "cactus" pirate tells them about it. He ll disband the crew, because he ll tell him One piece is a piece of junk, doesnt exist or worse is smth really amazing and infact is on the last island...??? Then it will stop being fun???
