Okay how come when I click someone's profile and then go to "view all posts by this member" it tells me I have to wait until X seconds are up?
Why do the searches have time limits anyway? I think they're kind of annoying when I'm trying to find a particular post and am constantly waiting. Is it possible to get rid of them or is there a reason they're there?
I can only suspect it's an attempt to lessen the load on the server… :wassat:

As someone who uses the search function frequently, I can testify that it can be annoying.
However, one minute is not a very long wait.
Obviously, it exists to keep Quexinos and Terek from stalking half the forum.
… I have no idea. I assume it's a default forum characteristic that we never bothered to get rid of because no one brought it up/it didn't seem important enough to warrant screwing with the forum coding.

Yes, it's a flood filter. Stops people from crashing your website by constanly submitting requests to the server and overloading it.
Although I'm not sure why it's doing it when you search for all posts by member. I checked another VB and it doesn't come up with the wait message.
Like right now I'm trying to find the old "Create your own devil fruit" topic… But I can't and it's making me nuts because I've been searching for over 10 minutes now -_-
