I was drooling when I first saw the screenshots in the magazine from E3. It looks stunning, especially a treat since I'm a zelda fan. The game sure is going to be different than the wind waker (even though I loved it's cel shaded butt to pieces).
I heard before that they weren't sure what the title would be. It's good to hear about the new channel.

Yes,this game looks great,but I don't have gamecube. :P
anyway where is panzers phaseII and Call of duty.(even not in the finalist, crap++.) -
omg, zelda is GORGEROUS. Too bad its not out for ps2. i'm hoping that starcraft :ghost is out soon, i've been waiting for a long time for it.

Zelda for Sony? Blasphemy! :P
The game looks fucking awesome, the little zelda fanboy in me that faded after Majora's Mask has reawakened. Thank you Nintendo ;____;
-
How… could... ANYONE lose their faith in Zelda after Majora's Mask? In my eyes, the series has been going steadily uphill. Anyway, yes, the new Zelda game looks awesome, definitely my most anticipated game of the year. It's amazing what the Wind Waker animation engine can do, huh?
-
Compared to OoT it was awful. I hate games with time limits and those stupid masks were annoying, I just didn't enjoy playing it, and you're the first person I've ever heard say MM was good. Wind Waker was better, but it didn't really feel like Zelda to me anymore.
This new games looks awesome though, fighting while on Epona?

…Really? Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda game, it was so awesome and different. The time limit really isn't much if you know what you're doing, and it added an interesting twist (I remember the nervous, adrenaline rush when I was running low on time and had to finish a dungeon). OoT was really good, but felt a little too cliche.
For me, it goes:
- Majora's Mask
- Wind Waker
- Link's Awakening
- Ocarina of Time
-
Wind Waker is probably my second favorite. One of the only games where the graphics truly wowed me (polygon count << fluidity and style,) and the story was definitely one of the best of the Zelda series. Not to mention the incredibly dramatic and fun final boss battle.
Majora is my third. It had some of the most interesting and unique mechanics of the already interesting and unique Zelda series, and once again, the plot was interesting.
However, my favorite is definitely Link to the Past. Most gameplay variety, most dungeons, very well handled plot for a first generation SNES game, and challenging not to the point that it's unbeatable, but challenging to the point that getting a 000 game is possibly one of the most telling challenges in gaming. (I certainly haven't pulled it off yet…)

well i also love MM it was a classic althought its still wasnt even half as good as OoT…..
-
Well Done Ninty
Zelda looks so nice, ever since last year I have been tracking 'Twilight' as it evolves. I just feel sick that half of my classmates at College got to go to E3, Damn me, if I was only one year older I could of gone…. -_-
-
The game looks great. What I love is that they're bringing back a feature from LttP: Dual Worlds!! (i.e. Dark World)
-
That news isnâ€
t at all surprising. And for a Zelda-fangirl like me this new game feels already awesome and look is so gorgeous. Yammy yammy. Drools :>~~~ So if this is feelings for me now, how itâ€
s going to be in autumn?
And here is also someone who loves Majoraâ€
s Mask. Time limit really challenged playing. Gives value when playing game second, third… times. Have you ever tried playing dungeons in normal time? Sure is challenging, makes adrenalin run like crazy ^.^ I didnâ€
t like collecting arrows, bombs and other stuff again and again. But then again there is always something useful behind next bush.

I wonder how much of TP will have Link as the werewolf… Sounds like an interesting aspect of the game!
-
I think he can only become the wolf whilst in the alternative universe. That kind of colourless, drab world you can see in some screens.
-
Yeah, Twilight Princess looks awsome. I never really liked Majora's Mask nor Wind Waker. Probably the reason I disliked Majora's Mask was that I spent too little time with it. Wind Waker I own, so that is not the case with this game. I just felt it was too easy and it involved way to much sailing. The graphics itself was a very nice, and new twitch to the series. It also fit the fact that Link was very young in this game. Also, it was a very good way of doing cel-shading. I've seen games in the past trying, and making a Gamecube game that graphically could have been on the Gameboy Advance.
I'm looking forward to the game. I'll import it from North-America, so I won't have to wait years and days for a European release. In Norway, games are way too expencive anyway.
-
I'll never understand why Majora's Mask is so shunned by the Zelda community. :'(
-
I love every Zelda game… minus Zelda 2. And although i did technically enjoy Wind Waker i thought it was FAR to short lived and a bit too easy for my liking.
I hope Twilight Princess changes this (i'm hoping for about 7 dungeons min) getting sucked into the "Twilight Realm" at certain points and becoming a wolf certainly does appeal (We all know that we'll be able to control this at some point or maybe have a dungeon or two centered around switching between the two realms)
Also i'm sure most of you have noticed that Link has the triforce symbol on his hand.
-
I found wolfie-Link very appealing in Twilight Princess. Just cant wait to get my hand to this one. Pretty, pretty please, wants it soon!
And about Majoraâ€
s Mask, Iâ€
m also one of those who doesnâ€
t understand why MM is so underestimated. It is really a good game. Its no build with the exact same formula as the rest, but I only like that. Some of the best puzzles in whole LoZ-world can be found in it, like the mystery of Anju and Kafei. (If you have played your Zeldas well, then you might have noticed Anju‘s words used in my sig. I found them very useful when waiting Twilight Princess)

**Yeah, I don't know what all the hate is for Majora's Mask when everyone knows that Zelda 2 was the true bastard child of the entire Zelda series. I however loved Zelda 2 with all its side-scrolling glory. This game also introduced Link's upthrust and downthrust quite possibly my two favorite ultra-cheap Super Smash Bros. moves.
This new game looks pretty good as I'd expect from any Zelda. I'm really digging that they are bringing back the dual-world thing as LttP was my favorite Zelda ever and the whole Dark/Light world thing played a big role in that games greatness.
-
I am fine with them tossing variety into the series now and then. The same style over and over can get boring for me. Which is why final fantasy series were overdone by time I played 7. Fortunately Nintendo has kept the variety going with the Mario series as well.

I thought Majora's Mask was kinda cool.. but that's purely from a spectator's point of view. Me and my Fiance play a lot of games.. but when one of proves to be really good at a game, often the other will stop playing and just watch instead. Majora's Mask was like that for me. He was very good at the game, so I sat and watched ^_^
It was flipped with FF10 though, I beat everything in that game, and he watched ^^
As for favourites, I guess I liked OOT most. I loved the look of it and had a lot of fun playing it. I really wasn't a big fan of Windwaker… yes, I'm one of those people who was disappointed with the look of it. I also thought the world was a little too vast at times.. considering 90% of it was practically water. I'm not ragging on the game, I know a lot of people who liked it a lot.. it just wasn't for me was all.
As for games for E3... personally, I'm looking forward to that new Will Wright game, Spore... but I've always been a huge sucker for life/evolution simulators.
-
majora's mask was cool because it actually took alot of effort to beat 100%
-
Yeh, especially with the time system and completing all the side quests over the three days. Also getting all the masks in order to obtain the Fierce Deity is pretty tough, espeically that 'couples mask'.
