Was lurking in Wikipedia when I saw this.
Looks interesting and I might get it.
Wonder Woman animated movie coming out Feb. 09
-
-
Psst, the URL is missing the ')' at the end, so it sends you to the wrong page.
But it sounds good (I'm REALLY hoping for a scene of her being molded from clay), and judging from the image the style will be nice. Not 100% sure what I think about Keri Russell being Diana's VA, but I'll give it a shot when it comes out.
-
Yeah I noticed that about the URL, but for some reason I can't seem to fix it….
-
)
^That's your problem

Here's a picture of Wonder Woman in her animated movie
I dislike the nose,i wish she has her old look when she was in Justice League
-
I was wondering how long it would take for someone to mention her nose.
-
I hate Wonderwoman, so this BETTER be REALLY good.
-
-
Eh, the nose doesn't bug me, really. Kinda reminds me of the images on Anciet Greek pottery, which is pretty fitting all things considered.

http://enewsi.com/news.php?catid=194&itemid=13678Hell yes, DO WANT.
That looked freaking awesome.
-
Hells yeah! This one looks SO good, can't wait to get it :D
-
Here's a better quality version of the preview HeatXZ put up: Voila!
Looks even more awesome here, and I am really starting to love the art/animation style. =D
-
I'm even more pissed off about this movie.
I just learned, from Comicon, that the Teen Titans: Judas Contract movie was put on an "indefinite" hold so that they could go ahead with this movie
.
-
WTF Wonder Woman + Nico Robin nose
though the trailer looks iite
not big on wonder woman though. Only her fictional body -

Actually, from what I understand they claim that Judas Contract is on hold because they didn't get enough positive fan buzz to support going on with it.
Batman Gotham Knight got pushed forward because they knew it'd sell with Dark Knight coming out, and they wanted to try and do the Animatrix thing and hopefully mimic the success.
Wonder Woman has always been a priority, as DC's been pushing the character heavily lately, and also some people are saying this movie is a tryout to see if the character can work in solo project. (if she can, and reviews and sales are both positive, WB might try getting Wonder Woman off the ground again)
Also, it's just a matter of Wonder Woman being the bigger name, and Bruce Timm has always felt that not having a solo Wonder Woman animated series was kind of a misstep and has wanted to do a solo project with her for a long time.
Judas will happen eventually, the comment that there wasn't any fan reaction got alot of fans pissed so fan support should skyrocket.
Anywho the trailer looks great, exactly how WW should be. A mix between 300 and Hellboy, if the movie ever gets greenlit it will hopefully follow the same direction. And not only that but Nathan Fillion as Steve Trevor, and Rosario Dawson as Artemis is not only perfect voice casting but could be perfect live action casting as well.

I didn't read that site at all when I posted that comic.
This is what I read (from Titans Tower):
"DC gave fans a brief first glimpse at its upcoming “Wonder Woman” animated feature, kicking off a discussion with fans at the San Diego Comic-Con in which fans and panelists talked about which characters they’d next like to see come to DVD."
"[…] A long-discussed adaptation of “Teen Titans: The Judas Contract” is on hold, Noveck says, because fan support hasn’t been broad enough to vault it past other titles. "
"Levitz says the key to the success of these DVDs is whether they can sell a couple hundred thousand copies in the first couple of weeks — they have to do the kind of business to make it worth it for outlets like Wal-Mart and Target to carry them. Still, it’s a building process and if these discs continually sell well, it makes it easier to experiment with lesser-known characters and storylines."
I asked Bruce Timm about the status of TEEN TITANS: JUDAS CONTRACT, and he said it didn't ever make it past script development. Sadly, it sound like there are absolutely no plans for this one!
I don't know why fans wouldn't go for a proven story as opposed to some random story with Wonder woman (who was in JLA/JLU whereas TT never had a real animation for it). Besides, It is my understanding that (nowadays) people don't even like the Teen Titans anymore…for some reason. Yet, they still like Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and Superman (As far as I am concerned, these are the 3 most overrated DC comic heroes). Also, they announced they were making that movie...a few years back. They didn't even get past the script writing? Come on!

I never saw the appeal with Wonder Woman, she seems boring. Then again, most American comic book characters are.

Most of the ones that you know about?
You do realize that American comic books have been running for WAY longer than Japanese ones.
-
…and personally after having read American comics for more than a year, I really can't stand most Japanese manga now.
-
… why did manga get brought into this? I wasn't saying anything about manga.
-
Hmmmmmmmmmm?

Not as bad as this one guy who called American Comics out for lacking things like Character development.

^OFF-topic
! IMO the BEST character development themed series is Kev. Or at least of what I read :D
Man finally the trailer is on YT, now I can start making GIFs.
-
Bump!
DVD will have a trailer/teaser for the Green Lantern animated movie.
DVD is pushed back to March 3rd now.
Movie is based on! George Perez's reboot of the WW series from the 80s
Hulk vs. should keep me entertained til its release.
EDIT: Say is it true that Gail Simone helped worked on this animated feature if so
-
^
I'm not sure of my comic-con status at the moment (having trouble getting my friends to go with me), so I'm not sure if I'll see it BUT…
Movie is based off of WW v2 1-6 (I believe). She did help, but I don't see how it matters much since it's based off of the Perez WW.
GL trailer is supposed to be at Comic-con too.
-
Maybe she helped in modernizing it and with the dialog?
-
Well, I do have my ticket now so I can definitely give a run down of the movie but I WON'T read those chapters until after the movie.
You know how it is with books and movies.
-
Huh. She looks like a guy.
-

Apparently Gail wrote the first 2 drafts of the script, but she said based on the trailers and other stuff she's seen there have been a good number of changes.
The things that she said do seem to be resembling her original drafts are Diana's birth scene, and something involving how Ares is portrayed. She said that she'll be just as surprised as everyone else for the most part when seeing it.
-
So I DLed and watched an early leak and IMO it's pretty good.
Although it is based on the first story arc of the 80s series….! the ending was changed drastically; in the movie, Ares and his armies attack the White House, and the Amazons come to fight him. Diana kills Ares after Zeus weakens him with a powerful thunderbolt. Odd that 4Chan made a big fuss of it, looks pretty fine to me. Though truth be told I would have REALLY preferred if Ares' defeat was the same as in the comics, but I guess this was to keep in tone with the action feel of the movie
It has nice animation, great dialog (most of the time) and the action is top notch.
One of my gripes is with the animation; the lips are too thick when drawn on characters.
Furthermore, the movie should've been at least 10-20 minutes longer just to build up for the final battle.
Oh and
! is it me or does Green Arrow's VA from the JL cartoon voice Ares?Overall I give it…4 out of 5. Perhaps my FAVOURITE DC animated movie ATM.
-
I loved this movie when I saw it at comic-con, so did everyone else.
Did the GL trailer come on your downloaded copy? We didn't get to watch anything but the movie at NYCC (not even the credits).
-
Nope there are some images someone uploaded on a site, I'll find them and make a thread for it later on.
