Old Kai was probably killed when the Z Sword was petrified and destroyed.
Ah, okay. Guess I overlooked it.

I wouldn't mind that actually, Goten is not really utilized in this series.

Why people continue with those stupid theory (that i like)? The main problem with Dragon Ball Super is that there's no intelligence in the script and there are no twists. Dragon Ball was always a serie where the buzz was actually better than the actual series.

The only reason I like this is "theory", is because it gives Goten something to do in the series. But, I know it most likely isn't the case, and I'm guessing we'll find out the identity this week.

…Really? In this arc? Zamasu and Goku Black being different people after the show had led us to believe they were one in the same isn't a twist? The apparent reveal next time that Black isn't merely a Goku-clone? This is probably the most interesting Dragon Ball has ever been story-wise.
I propose a theory that what drives Zamasu is not disgust but in fact fear. I imagine this is a "well of course" moment for some if not all of you, but let me explain what I think is going on and you guys/girls give me your thoughts on it.
I believe Zamasu started out actually feeling disgust towards mortals. He saw them squandering their gifts and killing each other. This had lead him to have a very low opinion of them. He may even have wanted to remove them from a practicality point of view. It wasn't until Goku showed up and he found that a mortal's foolishness could actually kill him that he got scared and desperate to remove what scares him. I mean up to this point he was praised as a genius of fighting and his power as a God was not rivaled by anyone except those he already knew were over him. Suddenly his position in the universe was upended. Not only is his fighting genius equaled if not exceeded, his power was matched and exceeded. Both of these by a lowly mortal. If Beerus or Whis had beaten him, Im sure he would have accepted it as to be expected of such powerful beings, but imagine if you were beaten by an something you thought you were better than. Imagine if a dog attacked you and seriously wounded you. It is logical to think you would develop a fear of dogs, and potentially want to be in a place were none are around you.
I think fear rather than pride is Zamasu's driving force. I think that is why he became immortal. It took away what made him scared. Taking it a step further if the immortality wasn't enough to make him feel safe or maybe simply because he had been made to feel scared by a being inferior to himself, he may have then enacted a plan to destroy mortals.
All just a theory, but it is fun to theorize.

That's a hilarious suggestion and I'd be okay with it, however, Black Goku is clearly older than Trunks who is older than Goten (I suppose they could pull some time shenanigans and get a further future Goten from another timeline but that would be needlessly complicated).

This^ this is exactly what I believe Toriyama intended to convey. Mortals went from foolish, primitive and violent to potentially dangerous after his encounter with Goku.
Bulma is probably going to the future so Vegeta gets a power boost…

They could go with an easier solution and just say he was born earlier in this timeline.
Though, I don't really expect Black to be Goten.
We've already established from the Cell saga that going back in time causes a different timeline to emerge, which means that Black and Future Zamasu still exist. Since apparently there's only one timeline where the two exist and they've crossed into others from there, killing Zamasu now should have literally no impact on anything from Trunks' future.

Save Beerus directly stating that when a god kills another god it will change time lines as opposed to humans. Im betting that it will have to do with the time rings making him out of sync with what having his younger self killed should have caused.
As Uub showed up in Super? Or was he just erased from existance?
As Uub showed up in Super? Or was he just erased from existance?
Super is supposed to take place after Buu saga but before the martial arts tournament in which Goku meets Uub. We know this because Pan is younger in DB Super than what she was there.
As Uub showed up in Super? Or was he just erased from existance?
He was briefly mentioned while Goku and Vegeta were looking for fighters for Champa's tournament. Vegeta dismissed him because he'd be like five years old at this point and has no fighting capabilities. Remember, this is still set before the epilogue of the manga so Goku and Oob haven't actually met yet.

! So, why is Zamasu evil if he's Goku?

! The most likely reason is that there were actually three Zamasus running around all of this time.
! Present Zamasu is the one Beerus vaporized.
Future Zamasu is the one hanging out with Black right now.
! The Zamasu that changed minds with Goku is probably from sometime between the present and Black's appearance on Earth. So Near-Future Zamasu.
! Wibbly wobbly, timey-wimey.
Man, you know Dragon Ball time travel was relatively simple. Butterfly effect was the answer for any weird differences, and time travel just created an alternate timeline from wherever it goes back to.
You throw other universes and Supreme Kais going from different universes to alternate timelines and
Why didn't they go inside the Hyperbolic Plot Device for a few rounds before heading off to the future? If you're precise enough it wont matter when you go back.Better to be prepared since the chances of the future being fine and dandy were almost nil.
! Ah so Zamasu pulled the mind switcheroo with Goku. Doesn't explain why there is a second Zamasu behind him.

Timering usage… he for sure used the green ones as well for alternate universes
So Goku has been married 20 years, got two kids but not once kissed his wife.
Geez, no wonder Chi-Chi is always on a bad mood.
This timeline stuff makes no sense. The Zamasu that exists in Trunk's time should never have met Goku at all.

I really hated that.
Japanese marriage doesn't ask to kiss the bride?

We have 4 different timelines
well shit
Considering he had a tail, turned into a giant ape, and can go super, and has the same voice, yes, we can be fairly sure of the fact, Toriyama's similar art designs not withstanding.
Can't decide if the narrative is that Gohan is Strong Yamcha or if Gohan got hit by the Useless Yamcha bug.

Maybe he's Yamcha's son, but Goku's Saiyan aura/energy permeated him while he was in the womb. You know, like River Song.
Teen Goten also looks like early DBZ Yamcha kinda.

The latter but Yamchaism didn't kick in until after the Cell Games and only became fatal when Super rolled around.
Yamchaism: become the doormat sidekick, because someone has to do it
Well, if you think about it Gohan just took hairstyle inspiration from the only guy in the gang who wasn't either a sayian (thus not growing hair), bald, a woman or a talking animal. Little did he know that along with neat looks came the dreadful curse of Yamchaism: the progressive but unstoppable fading into plot irrelevance that fatally hit him along with puberty.
Gohan, what have you become `?
That ending of the latest episode ! Goosebumps ! I can't wait for the next one.
Someone can explain to me, what's going on in Dragon Ball Super? I can't understand that Zamasu going back in time killing someone and the future has not changed.
Interfering with the main timeline creates alternate timelines, as we know from the original Trunks/Androids/Cell sagas. So because Trunks warned the main cast about Black that created another timeline for example.
Gohan should be ashamed of himself. I don't even mean that as a joke.
Well being of billions of people and his family < Giving presentations.
Come on Goku. Eat a bean and fuse with Vegeta already.
So there is still one thing I don't understand. Why would Zamasu end up fighting Goku anyway if Trunks never went to that Timeline and warned them about Black? Was that just an inevitability? That at some point regardless of Trunks Goku and Zamasu would fight and Goku beat him, teach him about the Super Dragon Balls and give him the tools he needs for his plans. And why would the timerings allow dimension hoping? The future in Black's timeline should not be future Trunk's timeline, right? Or did he just ask the timering to take him to another version of himself and that version is the one from Trunk's timeline?
On that note there are 5 timerings correct? If we assume one is the original does that mean there are 5 timelines overall? Are two of these the GT and Movie timelines? Please be.
So what the hell happened at the end with Trunks?
Also, if one of the timelines is the GT timeline I'd be down, I'm actually hoping that maybe one of the other universes is one where GT took place.
Well being of billions of people and his family < Giving presentations.
I guess he gets it from Chichi
But in the red timeline, if Trunks hasn't come to warn Goku and the other about Black Goku, Goku has no reason to meet and fight Zamasu, right ?
I could never fully understand the concept of how time travel works, but I at least understood it during the Android/Cell Saga and it was simple. But now they introduced the Time Rings that allow a Supreme Kai to jump to different timelines and that's when my brain starts overheating and smoking.
