What are the chances Vegeta turns SSJ3 on Episode 6 instead of getting the rage boost?
No SSJ3 for Vegeta in Super
But hopefully they have some episodes in the gap between BoG & RoF
So then we see SSJ God Vegeta appear before/during the early days of Training with Whis. Plus actually seeing what kind of training regiment Freiza Went through to get a Massive power Boost and the Golden Form.

I would want Veggie to turn SSJ3 so the transformation isnt really useless, it would be for him a big payoff after being Beerus bitch, he should at least gain his respect…

What a fantastic episode.
-
Oh hey, they're remembering Mystic Gohan. Good for them.
-
Gohan might do shit? Gohan might do shit!
-
Funniest moment of this Season, maybe Funniest moment of 2015 in anime.
Veggie puts Sanji to shame
-
Gohan might do shit? Gohan might do shit!
Well, considering Beerus' power, even if they do remember that Gohan is supposed to be stronger than SSJ3 Goku, he still won't accomplish shit.
Lets pray he manages to inconvenience the cat slightly? I dunno.
-
In this case no one needs to win, they just need to put up something of a fight to look a little competant.
-
Episode #7 is storyboarded by Shida Naotoshi, so with any luck he will also provide some key animation for the episode. He hasn't drawn anything for Vegeta in quite a while.

Thing is this DBS version of Beerus is stronger than the movie version.
If Buu didnt go down after being blasted by Beerus, then Gohan shouldnt go down with a punch.
I wonder why Gotenks didnt go SSJ3…
-
Funny thing is, I actually kinda rated his performance in the movie better than SSJ3 Goku's. The hold he tried on Beerus inconvenienced him and made him change a facial expression.
-
Watched the episode in spanish subs.
DBS is doing a good job with Beerus character.
In the Movie, Beerus wanted to kill the planet because he couldnt taste pudding.
In the episode, what pissed him off was Buus lack of respect for not sharing pudding with him. What Beerus dislikes the most is people being disrespectful to him.
Thats why DBS is doing a better job with Beerus character than in the movie.
-
I'm watching episode 6 right now and I gotta say this episode is on point.
Direction this ep. is really succeeding in making Beerus feel imposing. He was legit scary in Vegeta's childhood flashback.
-
-
last week Goku couldn't land a hit against Beerus even after turning ssj3, this week Yamcha slapped Beerus's back like 3 seconds after meeting him
Yamcha >>>> Goku is confirmed
-
Well, he's the strongest, he himself said so :ninja:
-
Anyone else not liking how Mr Buu has been portrayed in DBS so far?
-
Which of the DBZ movies are worth watching ? I am about to start my marathon of the entire manga and will probably watch some movies after .
-
Best episode of Super by far.
Why are they pacing out the movies if there's no manga to adapt though?
-

World's Strongest is pretty good, I also enjoyed the Broly ones, except for Bio Broly.

Thanks . And are the new ones worth watching ? Like the battle of Gods and the one that just came out ?

Battle of Gods is better than Resurrection F in my opinion, but they are both enjoyable to watch.

Dead Zone - More or less continues the original DB movies' habit of adapting the original manga storyline but with different characters substituted in. Okayish but skip the filler arc based on it.
World's Strongest - A complete oddball of a film; watchable if for only how different it is.
Tree of Might - Okay, but the villain doesn't make any sense at all.
Lord Slug - Basically the Piccolo, Sr. and Frieza arcs put in a blender.
Cooler's Revenge and Return of Cooler - Just watch Resurrection of F.
Super Android 13 through Wrath of the Dragon - Meh.
Battle of the Gods - A pretty solid DBZ movie that actually does a lot of things differently. Beerus and Whis are the best things about it.
Resurrection of F - Not bad as you might expect but nothing we hadn't seen before really. -

Really liked the episode… I find it far better than in BoG.
Next week Mystic Gohan... Still want to see how will handle Mystic Gohan after it in the ritual and against Frieza
-

I don't think he's out of character.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Also, Beerus and Whis are the best thing to come out from this new post Z continuity.
The fact that there are people out there who'd rather see something like Broly, rather than "some catman" makes me sad.
-
Beerus and Whis are fantastic… What I find sad is that the Universe 6 god is just a fat Beerus and a female Whis instead of some unique characters... A bit lazy.
Whis asked Goku to be God of Destruction after all so I hoped the other gods would be other species or characters instead of "cats"
-
Cooler's Revenge and Return of Cooler - Just watch Resurrection of F.
Return of Cooler wasn't necessary, but Cooler's Revenge I rate quite higher than Resurrection of F. Even production values and fight coreography are many, many times better.
Super Android 13 through Wrath of the Dragon - Meh.
Fusion was okish, me thinks. And the Bojack or Boojack or wathever movie was better than the rest of post-Super Android 13.
Best of the Z bundle is probably World's Strongest, if only for the chance to see Roshi doing shit again.
Resurrection and BoG are incredibly hurt by terrible production values (and questionable writing decisions, and Goku-Vegeta wanking…but that's par for the course at this point and expecting anything else is pure foolishnes). Like, some stuff is amusing. . .but that plastic look. The shininess. The inoffensive designs. The lack of creative fighting. The lack of impact. The lack of a cool factor. They abuse camera tricks to hide the fact that the fighting is incredibly mundane. One Piece's Z movie did the same tricks but coupled with good coreography, here. . .not so much. And in a Dragon Ball movie where the main event is a 30+ minutes fight scene? Yeah.
And I keep insisting on the first 3 DB movies being as good or better than the best Z movies. Movie 2 is my absolute favorite DB movie, with DB movie 3 as a close second.
-
I do not care if his personality has been shit… But I love this guy
!
-
It seems that we wont see Vegeta trying for SS3 on next episode, only SS2.
-
It seems that Mr Buu is more durable than expected, he is probably = SSJ3 Goku, his regen makes him for his lack of power.
-
That was a pretty good episode, leagues above last week. I guess no vegeta bingo though :(. At this rate when do we think we will finish battle of the gods? Episode 12? and then start frieza in 14? (i think there will be some episodes inbetween).
-
Speaking of the DBZ movies, after seeing BoG, I've been curious to see more.
One thing I'm wondering about though: Does any of them have second acts? Or, in other words, anything to fit between Gokus & friends hunky dory status quo being interrupted, and the ginourmous final fight extravaganza (apart from Z fighter jobbing, of course). I quite enjoyed BoG, but that movie was carried solely on the shoulders of Beers, Whis, some great comedy, and a few neat subversions. Story/structure wise, it felt like a 20 minute episode balooned into feature length. So, are there any movies with more meat on them than that?
You're gonna scorn me now, but the above musings have made the original Broly movie look the most appealing to me. I could be dead wrong as my perspective is based off hazy memories of skimming an anime-comic based on it, but it seemed interesting, like, they get an invitation to another planet, with actual buildings and people and stuff instead of a barren wasteland, and they're guests at first, but then they start suspecting bad shit, and Broly is under evil daddys control, then later he rebels at daddy, and then brolys a big villain asshole who destroys the slaves planet so we can get mad and want evil Broly beaten, and then everyone teams up to have Goku take him out. Or something.
As far as I know the execution could be terrible, and I know about Brolys moronic backstory, but that^ doesn't sound too bad for a 80 minute story to my ignorant self.
-
@Daz:

Yeah, pretty much.
Broly himself is a pretty boring villain who barely has any lines. And the whole thing feels kinda stretched out and not a whole lot happens.
As for me, I've seen maybe half of the DBZ films. I liked the first three alright, but I was 10 or 11 at the time and haven't seen them since. Didn't much care for Cooler's Revenge. And…yeah, that's pretty much it for me.
But, of course, we can all go with the guaranteed option and stick with the TFS versions.
-
The fact that there are people out there who'd rather see something like Broly, rather than "some catman" makes me sad.
Like I've said, I don't get the appeal of Broly and it kinda irks me to see Dragon Ball merch (video games specificially) throw him around all the time.
I will say there is something tragic to his insanity and always being on killmode, but the execution….
-
It would be interesting to see if they can wish for Broly to fight Beerus.
[h=3][/h][h=3][/h] -
Why? He would be destroyed.
-

The first three DB movies have adventure in them, and actually not that much fighting. The second one is the most unique and less "obvious retelling of a manga arc with a different villain", like the first one was, and even less of a "retelling of 2 entire arcs of the manga but with Chiaotzu as a naive emperor at odds with Evil Counselor Tao Pai Pai".
So, if you haven't seen it, see Dragon Ball movie 2.
-

Nope sadly not…
After it we see this silly Blue hair power ups... And even there he won't get a SSGSS3... Only Goku will have long blue hair.
Until they will go to rainbow hair
-
-
@Devil:
Why? He would be destroyed.
Legandary SSGSS Broly would be a nice match against Beerus.
That's why DB will never stop… With each new hair color or power up people will talk about characre x getting that as well.
That's why DB Heroes is still getting updates
-
Man, I still can't get over how good the last episode was coming off of the previous one. Perfect combination of tension and comedy. They made Beerus more menacing than he's ever been. That glance he casts at Vegeta when he's joining the party. Like "I can kill all these people and you can't do anything about it".
-
So, is Piccolo aware of Beerus? The others didn't seem to notice his strength. But him?
-

The only thing tragic about Brolly is how overrated he is.
-
The overblown hate for Broly is just as bad as the overblown love he gets from some fans.
-
Broly is an experience the first time you see his movie; this incredibly overmuscled green guy is pulling lariats and DDTs on Goku and pals, Vegeta gets his ass beat and starts crying, and during all this PANTERA is playing in the background. It's fucking hilarious.
-
So, is Piccolo aware of Beerus? The others didn't seem to notice his strength. But him?
I doubt both Piccolo and Dende can sense Beerus/Whis. Likewise how Piccolo could not sense Kaioshin back in DB. Perhaps Kami himself has never seen Beerus or is simply unaware of Beerus.
