Got bored while learning yesterday and I needed a destraction so I thought "hey why not try draw something?" Well I was just kind of courious what would come out if I drew for the first time. So I grabed the next best pencil pen and piece of paper (should have taken non checkered ones) and… well this is the result of about an hour of drawing/doodeling.

I decided to create something not goofy for a change and I REALY would like to know your honest opinon about it.
His arm is a bit big and there's a few other oddities, but you nailed the message you were going for. You got some potential when it comes down to detail. With some basics mastered, you could draw really good. That's unless you are a hobbyist, still good.

For the last picture you sent. Yes the arm is a little big. BUT. Look at the pretty hand you draw! Seriously, If you were to practice, even at a small pace, you sure would be very good! Unlike a lot of other people I know and who still try to draw, you do understand the anatomy of humans. All I can say, is keep practicing, and I'm looking for more drawings from you!

FINALY drew something again. Tried different tools for inking. pen is FAR better tahn fineliner. Some may say that was pretty clear but I had to trie it.
Anyway. After the last chapter I wanted to draw Hawkins.
First thing on my mind was Hawkins with a cylinder. Turns out Hawkins looks a LOT different when you take his medival cloth and put a hat on him (or is it just my drawing?)

I'm thinking about doing a "suit up!" session on all the supernovas but we'll see.
At least I managed to draw something again but (especially compared to Hiroys light speed progress) I really don't get forwards at all.

That's true. But I really couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong with Kidd. Maybe that's just how it looks when you put a pirate in a suit.
First thing I drew in a long time and it's not even One Oiece Fanart . My homework for politics kept me kind of buissy.
The character is based on Munsu from Shin Angyo Onshi, one of the best Manga on the market in my opinion. I named it "Smoke and snowflakes"

Maybe you should have darkened the hair so it won't blend in with the hatching on the face too much.
I'm realy thinking about quitting to learn to draw. Seriously. I try to at lest draw sth every day but not only is there no progress since I started trying to draw shadows it gets WORSE.
This is actually the best one of the things I drew the last days. And even that sucks. I realy have no talent at all. :sad:

No! Definitely do not give up! I will give you a couple pointers.
Do not worry about shading or proportions or anything like that. The most important thing is to keep your mark-making specific. Never let your marks become generic. For example, the problem with that mugen drawing is just that the left side of the drawing is just a bunch of generic diagonal strokes. The right side, however, is filled with specific markings. You should try drawing something from real life. If you spend at least two hours drawing one object, paying attention to the light reflected off of the table , or the way tiny scratches cut into the object. You know, whatever, depending on what you're drawing. I think you'll be very surprised how good it turns out. You might even want to try doing that with your off-hand too. You'd think it would turn out worse but sometimes it turns out better because you're not used to it and spend more time making each stroke with care.

you really are making a hell of an improvement man. Seriously, look at the Joker SHs then go to Hawkins. You can only get better man, not worse so dont give up
Why so serious? Thats pretty nice. I could see you are picking up on certain things. Notactuallytom's advice would really benift you since strokes is something you need to work on. Remember, do what is necessary for a drawing and not what's there in front of you (if you are figure drawing from life for practice).

FAIL about the gun. But do you think I should hav colored the shirt? And well I left out a nearly all shading. I was afraid tocompletly ruin it.

hope you don't mind my opinion. I like the less is more approach, so I would take out some of the spikes in the hair and make some of the other ones longer. funny comic, last panels about cake and eyes were so random.
Of course I don't mind I ASKED for an opinion. Thanks. I know where my limits are and I try to stick to those. I still want to shade it but I'm away from home for a few days and forgot it there. So no shaded pic for a few days.
Any further opinion is more than welcome.
something about the dude on the lefts arm looks really wierd, i think his elbow or the fact that his bicept area is about 4 inches long and/or elbow doesnt go up that far. That being said the kid on the right is really good
