It just took me FIVE hours to draw (and animate) an animation made out of five pictures.
Holy mother of … well, to be fair, GIMP might not be the best tool to animate something like that and I'm pretty sure I chose the worst way possible to do it. But still.
Post how your day was… (NEW)

Even though my birthday is tomorrow.. i spent today with my family celebrating it .
Tomorrow i may just hang out with my friend and play video games -
I beat Portal 2 and then went and beat Mortal Kombat's story mode in one sitting. Kintaro, Goro, and especially Shao Kahn are all incredibly annoying to fight.
-
I finished watching Despicable Me just now. Daaaaawww~

Only NOW ???My mother arrived today and leaves Friday (very happy to see her).
I'm kinda sad that the holidays are in the end, Monday I will have class.I didn´t do my homework in my free time, and probably I'll have to do them on Sunday ¬¬ (I will receive an Easter egg from my father in this day).
And today I danced a lot.
-
Spent all day spring cleaning my room to make room for my new TV and I found some things I haven't seen in a couple of months.
Also ran into this girl I talk with a lot in my history class and found out she lives two blocks away from me. Small world.
I am now sitting here doing algebra homework and preparing for a test on Monday.
-
Its so damn hot!
I've had my windows open for hours and nothing! absolutely no drop in temperature.
Its like a bloody furnace in here with me inside slowly sizzling away.
…! Nah, too easy.
Today after lunch my Dad will be gone till Tuesday and will come back with his GF then. So the time with my dad alone is over x(
-
-
Too hot for sex .
And it's not even summer. :ermm:
I just won a game of rummy against my dad
-
Fucking family. I don't want you to come over. I want to sleep all day, not hear Grandmother blab on about how it's a shame we're all not married.
I don't even celebrate Easter. Why do I need to be up. I have to work. I want to eat my chocolate bunny. Whine whine whine, bitch bitch bitch.
-
But Gypsy, you need to be up so someone can come into your home and beat you over the ass with a wooden rod, what kind of Easter would it be otherwise ?
And yes, it's a centuries old tradition here, as previously mentioned.
-
^ ROFL
OT: i spent most of today chilling out and doing nothing, looking forward to a nice dinner tomorrow.

You know about the tradition, MDL ?
-
yes, you've brought it up once before. :)
-
-
for the uk, there isn't much tradition anymore, it's just "choccy eggs, gimme!"
we sometimes do the easter egg hunt though.i'd never heard of your tradition until you brought it up that one time.
-
Why do people get beaten with sticks for easter?
-
To make sure they don't shrivell up.
Only women get smacked though. Men usualy have water poured on them.
-
@No:
Only women get smacked though.
Sounds like some kinda sadomasochistic sex game.
When did it start, and why?
-
Not sure.
But it is suposed to represent youth.

@ king of sarus
I don't mean to have any beef with you as I know how things are with you, but I took a bit of offence with some of the english stereotyping you said earlier and went overboard. Either way I'd like to sort things out between you and me.
-
Why do people get beaten with sticks for easter?
It's been happening since 1993, when it became illegal to beat snakes to death. so beating humans was the next step.

Perhaps that's partially my fault, I should have seen stuff like that being probable to happen in advance.

I was being over sensitive to English stereotyping and reacted like an ass.
I'm at fault.

i recommend that nobody steps into my bathroom for the next few days.
damn, what the fuck did i eat? oh well… being ill means i can watch some more anime.
-
Phew! I just finished moving back to the house. Good old shitty house that never seems to look clean no matter what. But hey, my room is finally aired out and dusted. I can see the floor!! Moving wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be cuz we didn't have as much stuff. We passed by an ice cream truck and I was like "Mom!! Chase it down!!" but she was all like "no." Maybe dad will pick some up if I ask nicely enough. She also said that we can go see a movie after I take care of that incomplete. If that doesn't get me to get my butt in gear, I don't know what will. ….But it's a finance class!
-
I made a new record on leaving late from school: 11pm. Booya. I didn't spend all day there however, just the evening. I also filmed some more material and I'm actually really happy now that we got this assignment, since it's so nice to look around for anything that could be composed into a beautiful shot. Also watched the last three episodes of Puella Magi and wow, what an amazing show.
What I'm not happy about is having to reserve an appointment for a doctor since our school nurse is on vacation until May 16th. I can't wait that long. There's a lump underneath my skin on my left side and I noticed yesterday that it's become painful and grown in size. I need to know what it is or I'll go paranoid with thinking it's a tumour or something.

I'm all good.
My humour was in the off position.

Today I watched RIO with my dad in the movies.
It was Good … I think it's not funny to watch a movie about your own country.
Well, It´s just me.Today, I also played with my dad in his band, this new relationship I´m having with my dad is cool.
-
It was seventy degrees today and sunny. So nice to go out and walk around without needing a jacket.
I didn't do all that much aside from that. Did some writing and discovered that I'm running out of room in the notebook I've been using. Guess I should buy a new one soon.
-
happy world penguin day!
-
Damn, I haven't gone number two in two days.
Other than that, though, this was an average, usual, rainy Easter for me. Could've been better, though.

by doing the BOOGIE WONDERLAND~!

this weekend, besides one really terrible thing, was a BLAST! wasn't expecting much this year from sakura-con, but the people I was with and met for the first time made it what it was. went and met up with a few friends initially, but then met a bunch of other people who went back and forth being in are group throughout the days. dirt monkey AL met up with my friend Brittany and I basically spent the rest of the time with us, mobbin like gangstas, visiting a few panels/events, and (she was) documenting incredibly well all the OP cosplayers that were there, including myself. people were really digging my costume (I think it was the inclusion of the sword this year, honestly) which made me feel really pumped. but now that's all over and I'm finally gettin some R&R.
-
Exhausted. EXHAUSTED! Almost 3 hours of overtime at work, finally left at midnight.
Really tired but my mind isn't entertained…. new ep of OP? My little pony? Or the warm embrace of my bed?ONLY TIME WILL TELL!
-
-
Y….YOU'RE A GENIUS! I can actually do ALL THREE~
OP and MLP from the warm embrace of my bed! -
Celebrated Easter at my cousin's house. How to Train your Dragon was on, everyone had fun and the cinnamon glazed cake was AWESOME!!

Just had the best day ever. Saw Acid Mothers Temple & the Melting Paraiso UFO (my absolute favorite band) and it was one of the most positive experiences I've had in my life.
! So basically this concert was a legitimate A+. The environment, the atmosphere, the venue, the performance, everything was just perfect. To begin with, Solar Culture as a venue was really great. It was an intimate setup.
!
! The performances opened with Tatsuya Nakatani performing on that drum set you see above. I was too in awe to take pictures, sadly, but I did get a dark and kind of unseeable video. I won't bother uploading it. But he basically created a bunch of amazing improvisational sounds utilizing gongs and bows, cymbals, and blowing, as well as traditional drumming. It was a really great performance.
! The coolest part? The intimacy of the venue. Makoto Kawabata and Koji were actually sitting nearby me in the audience to watch Nakatani. I thought that was really great and they seemed really into his performance. At one point early on in it, the backdoor of the venue was open and a train blares by. It was an insanely well-timed coincidence that matched the music really well. After the performance, Nakatani talked to a few people and seemed like a seriously pleasant guy. I asked him about the train and he said it was a very exciting coincidence and he worked most of the performance after it showed up around it.
! After this, Kawabata and everybody, after applauding again, go away and disperse. Kawabata himself goes to this nearby room. The door was open and I watched him pull out a bunch of blank CDs. He was burning something, from what I could tell. After dicking on the computer for a bit, he leaves the venue and comes back with a new wardrobe. Higashi and the rest of the band appear again and they all very modestly come on stage.
!
! With a lot of waving and the quintessential AMT introduction of Tsuyama Atsushi thanking everybody for coming in quick, mumbly english, they began. As per usual, Higashi opens with his synth and the space sounds. It's a very smooth, minimal intro that everybody familiar with AMT knows. It doesn't take long before they burst into a song I am afraid I didn't recognize! As far as I know, it was just an improvisational piece. But Koji's drumming is, as always, explosive and vibrant and it kicks the concert right into the perfect gear.
! After this, they introduce a brand new song they only recently started playing! It's called "Chinese Flying Saucer" and it's already one of my favorite Acid Mothers Temple tracks. It's not on an album yet, but when it appears, I can't wait to hear it. It has one of the most distinctive bass lines in AMT history and it's just an absolute delightful jam. Kawabata's raging guitar flies by, then suddenly stops and there is a silence
! Atsushi quietly mutters "Chinese… flying SAUCER!" as the band all simultaneously pounds their instruments and bursts back into that groovy beat. It was a seriously fun song.
!
! Then comes a grand centerpiece for the show in the form of La Novia. It was a lengthy, built up, wonderfully put together performance that I got here on video. I was stunned by how beautiful their vocal harmonies came off with in person. One of the highlights of this performance was Atsushi using his water bottle as an improvised instrument. He gargled the water into the mic, then proceeded to crinkle it around rhythmically before whipping out a flute.
! All in all it was a beautiful piece. It was only a few seconds after their final bit of singing that Kawabata smoothly transitions into the famous Pink Lady Lemonade riff.
!
! And what a Pink Lady Lemonade performance it was. It was probably the longest portion of the show. My personal favorite part of it was a sequence where Kawabata starts using a metal rod on his guitar, making these dreamy jingly effects. Higashi, on his own guitar, takes over the duty of the Pink Lady Lemonade riff, while Atsushi just whips into this frenzy and plays some insane storm on his bass. Possibly some of the best bass guitar I've heard in any AMT works.
! From here the whole performance starts getting into pure thrashing, trippiness and strangely, danceability. I adored it and so did the crowd. I forgot if I mentioned it yet, but the crowd was wonderful. Everybody was really enjoying the band and they all seemed so happy to be there. By this point in the concert, everybody had actually spread a bit apart so everybody could dance. Dancing at an AMT concert!
! Finally, after 30+ minutes of this wonderful jam, they bring the set to a close and thank everybody as they walk offstage and relax outside for a short break. But the crowd is too excited and everybody starts stomping their feet in joy, screaming "encore!"
!
! And it was possibly the greatest minute long encore of all time. Seriously, watch this video and stare in amazement at. I fucking burst out laughing hard when this happened. It was hysterical and downright glorious. Bravo, bravo, BRAVO!
!
!
! After this the band hangs out with everybody, goes over to their merchandise table, and starts putting stuff away. I thought it was wonderful that after the show, they took the time to just be there for everybody instead of going off to rest. I use this opportunity to say hi to everybody in the band. I shook hands with everybody at least twice and Higashi lent me his pen. I had the entire band autograph the vinyl of the new Pink Lady Lemonade album I bought!
!
!
! And that's the t-shirt I bought at the show that I wore the entire time like the silly fan I am.
! In short, this was the best concert ever for me and it has set the standard for the rest of my life. -
Congrats on the promotion Holy. (eerie & silence too)
-
wow, time flies.
congrats, people.
