I agree. The only thing that I can think of besides pure luck and just being a cool flag, is that the leader of their crew has a similar scar. In which case they searched for "Jolly Roger with scar" on google. shrugs

After all, the shanks flag is an homage to the flag of Calico Jack.
A great deal of pirate flags nowadays are Calicos than traditional skull-crossbones, so they may've put the line on there to distiguish it?
Not to mention, the clip where the flag is zoomed in on, is in colour, so it's a grey line as opposed to a red one. It is spookily similar, but I've a feeling it is coincidence. -

But I do read Japanese and the boat says, "Suspicious Ships" in Japanese followed by a pirate flag indicating it takes down pirate ships. Underneath was clearly written, 'Division of Marine Safety'.
So do they use stock footage in Russia too? Or were they simply showing ships that promote safety in the waters without explaining that?
