For those who don't know, the freeloader allows you to make your Wii play games from other regions (Or something).
So yeah, I was wondering if this still works (Preferably on an American Wii) , or if Nintendo shitcanned it with an update. I was thinking about buying one for a Japanese game that's coming out later this year.

They don't all have them nowadays.
DS didn't have region lock, so I'm a bit confused about why Wii does. But it's Nintendo, and they're always going to have something on the systems that makes you wonder what's up with them.
I have a US Wii and a Freeloader. Works perfect with the most recent firmware. Virtual Console works fine, too (not sure where people get the idea).
