This came to my attention on another board. As with every other generation of the Pokemon franchise, the Fourth, Diamond and Pearl, will get their own cousin for the DS, Fall 2008 (in Japan)!
The new version: Platina. Just like how the other 3rd games focus primarily on Legendaries, the focus here appears to be Giratina. And it has a new form, it seems.
When this eventually comes out in English, I will happily return to my schoolboy roots yet again.
Knew it was coming, now I won't have to choose between Diamond & Pearl!
Damn.. not going to buy this, unless i can somehow import my Pearl pokedex. I don't want to go trough all the collecting again.

After downloading Puzzle league, I'm done with this franchise until a Gold and Silver remake releases.
If they do that let's hope there's a built in day & night system I'm looking at you Firered & Leaf Green.

But yeah, back to this.
I never buy any of the "third" games (except for when my brother bought Yellow), so I strongly doubt I'll get this one. :X

I want a remake of Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Pokemon Silver was my life when I was a …prepubescent girl. Platina can go on and do what it pleases...it won't get MY money! I'll be saving that money for freakin' POKEMON SILVER REMAKE!!!

I don't see how anyone could've missed that.
Also I wonder what power this new pokemon controls considering that Dialga & Palkia powers center aorund Time & Space.
