I definitely wouldn't mind seeing a Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, but since EA lost the rights and all that shit, I guess it all comes down to who else will make it.

Marvel still has the right to contract out games using their likenesses and characters; the success of the XML and MUA games probably justify a fourth one, so it wouldn't be surprising to see one in 2009.
But anyhow, the next one needs to bring back Psylocke. She was a total beast in the first game, except that half of the stagers where you get to use her were full of Sentinels, which are strong against psychic attacks. Bring her back, except early in the game! Also, Archangel.

There's also Spider-Man: Web of Shadows that has recently been announced for late-2008/early-2009.
I'm personally hoping for a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 someday, but that's just me.

I don't think that Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is ever going to happen. The only reason Marvel Super Heroes and X-Men vs. Street Fighter and all those other games came out was because for awhile Capcom had an exclusivity deal with Marvel characters. After MvC 2 comes out in 2002, the deal expires and Capcom isn't allowed anywhere near Marvel characters. It isn't happening.

If it is true, why can't they just make an XML 3? XML was so much better than MUA. It had friggin' Emma Frost. Where was that in MUA, huh? Fucking nowhere, that's where.
If they do ever make an XML 3, it needs to be more like the first . The second one had very little cohesiveness, aside from "Avast!! Apocolypse is there, and that ne'erdowell doing something EVIL!!.

3. Yeah, I know that (I finished it with all the sidequests). Overall, though, the game just had such off putting vibe of despair and hopelessness up until the very end (which can end on some pretty sour notes. I was just mentioning how the developers just made the game so disheartening every chance they got). It was fun to play, but I just don't think it's should get a sequal before XML get's it's third installment.
PS: There's also Luke Cage. I could think of around ten better suited characters to take that spot. Also, having 90% of the characters right out of the gate seems kind of lazy to me. As if the devs couldn't be bothered to actually them into the plot aside from Spiderman, Storm, Electra, Col. Fury, Thor, and Capt. America (which is not even a third of the cast).

3. Honestly, I think XML was the better series. It should get picked back up before MUA. I agree that MUA was a great game. However, XML was just so much better, it's just more deserving.

I liked Ultimate Alliance. I just hope they add more characters. I mean no Jean Gray playable? They should of had more X-Men then they did. And the on the DLC on the 360 I didn't mind the villains, but having Dr. Doom as a character while he is the main villain…what is with that?

XML was great, but it didn't have the legend; Captain America.
If Cap and a few non-X characters are playable in XML3 (besides shellhead), I'll play it, but otherwise XML3 would just be a smaller piece of the Marvel pie.

Ummm… did you ever play MUA? The whole point of XML and MUA were that XML was about the X-Men exclusively, and MUA went into the larger Marvel universe. Captain America was one of the four "main characters" of MUA, and he was a pretty damn good frontliner.
But yeah, why should XML3 have other Marvel characters in it? If you like Captain America so much, then why not just hope for a proper MUA 2?

I think you didn't get the general mist of my post. It was for two things. To show that going back to make another XML game would be a sidetrack. That's what "it would just be a smaller piece of the Marvel pie" means, bucko. Secondly, it was to express my love for the man himself.

E3 confirmed the game. Green Goblin and Venom were also confirmed.
The game will be based off Civil War and it is said that Brian M. Bendis will do the script/concept for the game.

Well in game informers magazine they had an insight on the game and they said it was going to start out with the BG trying to capture Wolverine and Spiderman and Lucas cage because they did something to cause the civil war.I have to go back and read it.

The Asgardians actually didn't have a role in Civil War, they only returned to Marvel continuity after WWH.

Well if memory serves me right, Marvel stopped publishing Thor in 2002~2004. The final arc was titled Ragnarok and in it all the Asgardian gods fought in a great battle of sorts. Fastforward years later; Thor returns and awakens the Asgardian Gods who have inhibited humans after Ragnarok. Loki awoken as well and instead decided to take the form of a woman. A major improvement if you ask me.
BTW what're ur thoughts on the character models? ATM I'm not impressed by them but I might like them by the time game comes out.
