It's utterly insane to see how the game actually works. I'm still baffled by how the cane actually does nothing. Here I thought some kind of trick was needed or something.

Man, that game is so unforgiving and unfair. I can't believe there's so many errors (everyone's charging you, bombs hit you from a mile away, the cane can only kill-I lol'd-BEES, etc)
But the nerd's reactions were too funny.

If you wanna see the end of the game, there are speedruns and TAS runs of it online.
That review was awesome. It's such a good game to do a review of, it's so broken. And I loved the philisophical thing at the end, because it actually sort of made sense in a "forced/made up on the spot" kind of way, I love that kinda humor.

I like when the review is mostly about how he played the game..and also liked the idea with the medusa-head.
Over all a solid review, without any complains from my side. -
It wasn't a terribly bad game, but it had its flaws and was repetitive as all hell.
Overall, a good review.

Good review. Never played any of the NES games, but the Super Star Wars games are the fucking devil (I know from experience). Shadows of the Empire was pretty cool even if the controls were a bit wonky.

Nice episode, but I would like the videos to be shorter, somehow the AVGN seems a let less funny in 20-minute length videos.
I remember almost dying of laughter while watching his older videos like Godzilla or Superman 64. Maybe he just needs another really terrible game, or I just starting to get bored by the format, I don't know. -

I just watched his Star Wars video. A Game Boy port of that NES A New Hope game was actually the first (alongside Super Mario World) video game I ever owned. What he said about the lack of direction on Tatooine and the Death Star being a complete maze was so true. I eventually got to the point where I only got through those sections due to memorization due to the sheer amount of trial and error involved. Fun times.

But whats even more surprising is that I actually didn't mind the story he did for this one.

Not the worst but not the best.
The theatrics are usually lame as hell and this wasn't really an exception to the rule. Still it was fairly expected what with it being the 100th episode and all.
The custom controller was fantastic though.

Pretty good for the 100th episode. Of course, it's quite incredible that he even made it to 100 episodes. He certainly has earned his place in the Internet hall of fame, so to speak.
Oh yeah, the episode. Yeah, it was good, both the actual game reviews and the ROB side story.

Which means the next thing we will see of the AVGN will be the movie, which is still so far just the ready script and nothing more.

Actually, I think he's going to review it in the upcoming AVGN movie. Whenever that may be released.

Ya know, I know how to beat the game, sorta, and there realy isn't that much content in it, being an Atari game, so it's not the best idea to have that as a show stopper cause…..you'd have to fill up an episode with tons of filler.
Or talk about the gardening game where you literaly get to play around with shit.
