Can't wait to see yours. Really, there's so many possibilities with this guy.

I don't blame you, Com. Too-much is really ridiculous, way too ridiculous~

Here's my versions by the way; yeah, versions, because I just couldn't resist:

Firstly, the prototype. I always do this when coloruing someone: first, I don't really care about choosing colors, I just want to make layers and I can always color over it without having to be careful or something.
After I finished with putting the colors into their places, I looked at this monster and said "This is way too much" then proceeded to draw the shadows~

The second version seemed the best (the others are ridiculous), but it seemed a little too solid for a guy named "Too-much".

Did anyone mention this already? Anyways this is a little far off but as I was looking at an anime pic supposedly depicting VegaPunk, i noticed that his dress pattern looks a little bit similar to Ceasar Clown's dress…although it is a bit slanted. Any chances they might share the same color scheme? What do you guys think?

I actually noticed they have a similar pattern, but didn´t brought it up. And if i recally correctly something like this was said on a chapter discussion, but just like a casual comment.
Yeah, they could have the same colours, but i imagine CCçs being brighter. He looks like quite the flashy guy

Thanks, I also really like him with purple lips, not too sure about the gas though..It's pretty impossible to picture anything close to what Oda has in mind for colouring gas, at least for me..

I copied the page but it has text on it & I'm crap at getting rid of it and making up the missing part of art. I've seen some really good ones that have just that.

erm know i didn't do line for that, but after seeing the pic it doesn't look too difficult to do. I will make a lineart of that firebird so wait and chill.

Well I've finally finished my version of Vice-Admral Velgo

I added four screencaps of other characters, fans have been saying Velgo resembles=
Ohm, Mr. 5 and Lt.Brandnew .
I wanted to experiment to see who he really did resemble. I never thought he didn't resemble Ohm and by colorin and putting the image of Ohm beside him, I reinforced my thought. His stance and design resembles more of Mr.5 and a little bit of Brandnew (little bit, since Brandnew had a thicker neck.)

Edit: The better quality made me see it better. She definetely has lime green hair and at the end of her wings. I would never have expected to be green but it kinda looks good on her.

Wow…I didn't see those colors of Monet and Caeser coming. In fact, though I do love Monet's color scheme, I kinda feel as though their colors were...switched around...sort of. I always pictured Caeser as being green, but I do understand: Leading expert on weapons of mass destruction = explosions = orange (if that's what Oda was going for). Monet, on the other hand, while not picturing her in orange, I did see her having a Pink/Yellow/White color scheme. However, I do like the colors she has and think it's "neat" that the tips of her wings match her hair and shirt.

That her wing tips are same color has her hair suggests that the wings are 'normal' and not from a different creature who lost its wings when Law attached them to Monet. I wonder if there are real harpies in OP-world who can switch between the forms of 'monster' (wings,feet and tail of bird) and 'normal women' (appears fully human but hauntingly beautiful). There are tales in real world of various types of monsters like that; seilie, mermaid, lamia, siren, kistune, naga ect

you finally coloured it there both good, but i prefer darker version, it has the fire feeling to it, like is coming at you.

Thanks, the lighter one was the first one colored, fromt here I pplayed with the settings and Render and finally got that effect of the darker one. Glad you liked it, that's the effect I was trying to acchieved. though someone said it looked like magma…I gave them a link to Mythbusters pic of explosions that were par of my inspiration XD

Hmmm I like the first one best. At first glance the 2nd one looks good and dark, but on a closer look, his skin tone looks more orange than tan …but that may just be me looking at it at 2 AM in the morning.

Reformatted my computer so its all fresh and new, but sadly that means I have absolutely no photo editing type of programs at all now.

So was popping in to see what type of programs you guys recommend and/or use.

Nothing super fancy required. I mainly use it for editing manga pages with other peoples colorings and making wine/beer labels for our beer/wine that we make. Also making icons for folders and what not.

I don't do my own coloring like you guys. I used to use Adobe Photoshop CS2. That had everything I needed and found that easy to use. I'm going to currently download the trial version of CS6. So I'll have something for like 30 days or however long that lasts.

I would say that the shadow color are close to the original skin tone or dress…a little farther away from a specific color spectrum would give your coloring more depth.

I have observed that you are fond of using the spray or something similar to it. It would also help you improve if you mix other coloring techniques like using clear edges and mixing them with the spray or blur. oh well, I'll be expecting more colorings from you in the future. Keep em coming ^^
