I don't under how ppl can call the Duval chapters an "arc". It covered about 1 volume!? And how could you hate it - it contained one of the best set up gags ever!

As for Shabondy, can't wait to see how Zoro runs into and how that turns… sweet! Really also keen to see what 500 reveals.

Also, though it took two books, Little Garden was wrapped up in 9 chapters, which is a single tankoban. Drum was finished in about the same time, too.

Yes, the arc labeling is just something used by fans to differentiate the different locations and the conflicts that happen in them. So no one is wrong by calling any given arc by whatever name they want.

In wikipeadia, Arcs form Sagas and I quite agree. So East blue Saga would consist of Morgans arc, Buggys arc etc too Loguetown.
